ABOUT ME: My name is Elise and I am 12 years old and in the 7th grade. I started Purr-fect Play Things by Elise as a Self-Determined Project for 4-H. I placed first at the Medina County Fair and was invited to take my project to the Ohio State Fair where I received an Outstanding of the Day Award.

Shortly after achieving my goal and delivering my donations to the Medina County SPCA, I was contacted by the owner of Morty’s Munchies in Strongsville to sell my ‘Nip Knots in her stores. I sold 24 in a few short months. I also recently was a vendor at the Tats for Cats event.

Calling all cat lovers! The Tats for Cats event is today at Mission Possible Animal Hospital LLC Lots of great vendors set up including my daughter’s catnip toy business - Purr-fect Play Things by Elise. Stop by until 6pm today. It’s a beautiful day to shop outside, maybe get a cat tattoo. Food trucks are also on site. 🐾🐈‍⬛❤️

I am selling some of my original catnip pillows and my new ‘Nip Knots with Ribbon at my family garage sale today. 25% of the price of the ‘Nip Knot goes to the Medina County SPCA.

My business started as a self-determined 4-H project a few months ago. My project was judged last week and was nominated to present my project at the Ohio State Fair in a few weeks.

I have a few ideas in the works for some additional catnip toys as well as some Halloween-themed catnip toys. I’ll be back at it after the fair and getting ready for back to school. Stay tuned…

After visiting the Medina County SPCA with my first round of cash and catnip toy donations a few weeks ago, the owner of Morty's Munchies Dog Bakery & Boutique in Strongsville and Cuyahoga Falls reached out to me to sell my new ‘Nip Knots with Ribbon at her two retail stores. Stop in to one of her stores to get your ‘Nip Knot with Ribbon for $3 and 25% will be donated to the SPCA. (If you have a dog, you need to stop in to her store!)

The mission of Purr-fect Play Things by Elise is to create homemade catnip toys using high-quality cotton and fleece and organic dried catnip from the USA which results in 100% cat satisfaction.

I started my business as a self-determined 4-H project and have decided to continue creating and selling my toys.
