Our 2nd Idaho spring is here and let’s hope it sticks around! Warmer temps and longer days makes horse people happy. Horses that aren’t fresh, makes horse people EVEN HAPPIER!!

Mother Nature is giving us small glimmers of hope that spring isn’t far off!
Due to the inevitable changes that come with owning horses, we’ve had one spot open up for March. We also have a couple for the month of April.

New Year, New Footing, New Clients… (as well as our returning ones) We’re excited and grateful for it all!
We took advantage of the sunshine and hauled in new footing for the walker and horse pens. 2024 is in full swing at Chula Vista!

The last of the outside horses go home this week, then we’ll shut things down to spend time with family until the 1st of the year. 2023 was our best year yet and for that we’re very thankful! We hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas!

Below is how things are looking for available spots in 2024. Feel free to reach out to Kyle or Jody for questions and/or to reserve a spot. We always keep a waiting list as cancellations do happen so let us know if you’d like on it.

It’s the time of year when things will get really busy around here. November fills up fast with Vegas contestants wanting their horses kept in shape when the days get short. Leave them here to exercise and take them to the jackpots when you need them!

We have room for two, maybe three horses starting next weekend and room for more in November. Get ahold of Jody or Kyle if you have questions or would like to get your horse scheduled.

All reservations are first come, first served. I try my best to accommodate schedules, but Mother Nature occasionally reminds me who’s really in control.

We’ve been asked numerous times “How did you come up with the name, Chula Vista?” In reality, it’s was our girls! We’ve always said what a beautiful place we live in and when the time came to give our small business an official name, Chula Vista seemed pretty fitting.

A little about our small business…

We got our start in 2018 when we put in the walker for personal reasons. Like many of our clients, the “good ones” we had, weren’t ready to retire, but they didn’t need ridden and tuned up every day either. So selfishly, the purchase of our 6 horse Priefert panel walker was to help keep (and get) our horses in shape.

We weren’t experts, and still aren’t, but through trial and error, and lots of what if’s, we’ve found a program that works for us. Just like any place, we work hard to keep the ground in good condition for optimal performance.

We aren’t fancy, but efficient and effective. We treat each horse as our own and invite you to reach out if you have questions or feedback.

-Never measure your progress using someone else’s ruler.
