🐾 Did You Know? Pets Are Great at Hiding Pain 🐾
Pets often hide pain as a natural survival instinct, which means they might be suffering silently. If your pet is acting differently – avoiding stairs, limping, or showing changes in appetite – it might be a sign they need a vet visit.
Trust your instincts, and don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help you understand what’s going on with your furry friend. 💙

Coming soon...
Something big is coming to ASEC this month!! Any guesses for what it could be? 🤔
With #LaborDay approaching, we want to remind you to keep your pets happy, healthy, and safe this holiday weekend with these tips:
☀️ Beat the heat: Dogs are susceptible to heat stroke. Make sure there is plenty of water and shade for your furry friends to keep cool.
🍽️ Protect your plate: Many foods we enjoy on Labor Day Weekend such as onions, corn cobs, chocolate, grapes, alcohol, and more can be toxic to pets or pose a choking hazard.
🍔 Guard the grill: Keep pets away from the grill, grill tools, lighter fluid, and matches in order to avoid burns and hazardous chemical ingestion.
🎆 Forego the fireworks: Not only can fireworks frighten pets, but they can also cause severe burns. Keep your pets calm and safe in a quiet, sheltered, and escape-proof area.
If your pet should experience an emergency over the holiday weekend, remember that ASEC is open 24/7 for emergencies: (321) 725-5365
Itchy Pet Awareness Day
Are you curious as to why your pet keeps scratching? Not sure how to provide them with some relief? 🐶🐱 Itchy skin could signify flea allergy dermatitis, hotspots, atopic dermatitis, or a skin infection.
It’s best to identify that there is an issue early as this makes it easier to treat!
Treatment options may include applying anti-parasitic ear drops, medication to treat infections caused by scratching, and ongoing parasite prevention 🐾 To identify the best treatment for your pet's condition, always consult with your primary care veterinarian for guidance.
If your pet is experiencing an infection contact ASEC:
