Bernie’s wound showing amazing improvement!!
The medi honey is taking care of that yellow/brown slough and see all the beefy red tissue and we love to see some bleeding because that means blood flow which means living tissue:)
I’m not surprised to see the depression under the yellow slough that’s to be expected, when you have slough or necrotic tissue it can be a mess under it.

I’ll be switching to a wet to dry dressing for that depression.

My hubby also increased his pain medicine this am and he’s soooooo much better!

The vet said to try that increased dose, if by Monday I still feel he needs a twice a day pain med we will go with Tramadol or Gabapentin:)

He’s not limping, trying to run and play with the other dogs and decided the kennel with all the comforters was his and built an impressive nest:)❤️❤️❤️

He’s the sweetest, most loving, goofy, gentle boy!!

Day 3 and we can see him almost completely decompressed….BUT remember it’s 3 weeks to have a routine and 3 months to feel at home!’

TRANSPORT volunteers needed
12/2 and 12/3
Pick up Bullet from Bracken Sheltet 12/1 evening, transport to UCAN 12/2 @ 730 am. Pick up 3 pm take back to Bracken shelter. Pick up Aphrodite from shelter, take to UCaN 12/3 730 am. Pick back up at 3 pm and take to Bracken shelter.

OR short term foster and keep both with you for the week ♥️ All supplies provided.

WE need help with kitten spay/neuter transports!!

12/5 we have kittens going from Maysville to UCAN in Cincinnati, just 2 older kittens this ride, they need to be at UCAN at 7:30 am, then picked up 12/6 at 7:30 am and transported back to Maysville.

12/9 we have 3 kittens and a mama cat going from Maysville area to UCAN in Cincinnati, need to arrive at 7:30 am, need returned from UCAN 12/10 picked up at 7:30 and back to Maysville.

12/16 we will have 4 kittens making the same journey, drop off at UCAN at 7:30am and pick up 12/17 at 7:30am and back to Maysville.

This would be a HUGE help and great opportunity if you can not foster or day trip!

“A home for the holidays” 🎄
We are looking for temp fosters, regular fosters and folks looking to do community service this season. ⛪️
We are a 100% volunteer 501c3 rescue.
We make fostering free, so these furry friends have the chance to learn what it’s like to be with a family and get them ready for a forever adopter. 🐾

They are also looking for adopters!!
Adoption fees for November are only $50. Our animals come spayed/neutered, vaccinated, on flea/tick prevention. 🛟

WE ARE CLOSED FOR INTAKE. 🛑

🐾 We have 36 animals under our care. We’ve had zero adult dog adoptions or foster sign ups in months. We make fostering free for folks who want the love and companionship of a dog, but maybe can’t afford it or not ready to press go.

If you can’t foster, these dogs desperately need direction, attention and love. We NEED daily day trippers.
You can apply for day tripping under the foster tab.

Please help with the Cleo’s Legacy mission so we can continue to save homeless dogs in need. We want to continue rescuing and making a difference but we need the communities help.

Paper towels
Enrichment toys
Food (we are good on food right now)
