It was 15 years ago that I came up with the concept of Islands. If you look at those early cartoons you will see the Island style coming through. Islands is now a refined, to a point that the characters truly live, develop to a style that is easily recognizable and very commercially viable, Hats, Tees, Canvas Bags, towels, fragrances, clothing, has the potential to be a media phenomenon. With Sofia and Selma Island they have a Cuban mother and NURSE Isabel Island who is LOAD AND PROUD, an eccentric dad Ernie Island who is a cartoonist, inventor, musician and dreamer, they have many pets Mr. Fuzzy and Pepper and Salty cat, oh and don’t forget Ronny Mouse and those colorful Gypsy Rooster. South Florida is a very special place to live, with beaches, eccentric neighbors and a diverse culture it provides a colorful backdrop that's a larger-than-life character unto itself.
