❗️📣Foster homes are desperately needed. Please read to understand the critical need.
On average, we used to receive 12-15 intake requests per month... until about 18 months ago, we started receiving around 40 intake requests per month. Month after month after month. The need is greater than we've ever seen in over 30 years in rescue. (Not just Dobermans, all dogs!) The entire state is in crisis. There's no possible way to help that many. We can't even help one without a foster home.
We're seeing Dobermans euthanized in shelters because shelters are over capacity and rescues are full. We're seeing owners dump/abandon Dobermans in the streets or country at an all-time high because many full shelters are refusing intake or owners think dumping is better than an over-full shelter, or simply think they have no other option. (It's not! Strays die a horrific, painful death, afraid, hungry, dehydrated and injured.)
📣WE NEED FOSTERS. Even if you only foster one dog, one time in your life, the time is NOW.
We pay for all vetting & will provide a crate & food if needed as well.

Another baby needing to be rehomed:
1 year old brindle bull mastiff - will be 2 in October. Very sweet, gentle with cats, ok with kids. just wants to be a shadow and follow owner around. Owner is working too much - single mom - no time. 🙁 Let me know if interested. Small rehoming fee.

Hi! I'm Cookie! I am a 5 year old female Boxer/pit mix around 45 Lbs. I was originally found at Hickory Ridge Park in Rockwall on 03/13/23 and was never reclaimed. I am playful, love going on walks/ jogs, and have a favorite tiny rubber chicken toy. After exercising, I like taking naps with my blanket. I have been patiently waiting for my FURever home approx. 330 days as of 02/08/24. Since I am considered a Diamond Dog, I have a reduced adoption fee of $75. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination and basic yearly boosters. I am heartworm positive but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I will be able to receive treatment with little to no cost to my adopter. RAC staff is available to answer any questions regarding heartworms and my treatment.
