This lucky kitten came to us last week after we suspect he was hit by a vehicle in the days leading up to his visit. He had a large laceration and was non-weight-bearing on one of his hind limbs. After our technicians took x-rays, Frank was diagnosed with a fractured sternum and a fractured femur. Our doctors neutered him, repaired his laceration, and attempted to repair his femur. Unfortunately, he had a significant infection and his leg required amputation. Frank is now resting very comfortably at home with one of our staff members thanks to our amazing doctors and technicians. Help us welcome Frank to the Lake Area family!

Traumatic fractures sometimes require toe amputation. Fortunately, dogs have 20 toes, so loosing one is no big deal!
