We had a blast with @girlsincyouthfarm at Shelby Farms. We talked about the SCIENCE OF GREENS and loaded up the truck headed to see Brian at Shelby Farms Community Garden. We got so wet & muddy in the rain and picked enough for the @greenscookoff 🌱 Get ready for the 4th Annual Greens Cook-Off! 🌱

Yesterday’s Garden Tour for the Association of Nature Center Administrators was a success. The organization selected the @frayserurbangarden as a leader in Urban Agriculture. What is urban agriculture? It’s the practice of growing food in urban/city areas. Not only do we grow food, we’re growing #community

🌿✨ Yesterday, we had the privilege of honoring one of our beloved garden council members, Mr. James Jefferson, who helped pave the way for so many who visit our garden. His birthday was the perfect time to celebrate his legacy in the garden he cherished. Next to his dedicated bench, we planted all his favorite foods: tomatoes, okra, watermelon, and of course, a Paw Paw tree. 🌱🍅🍉
A heartfelt thank you to the Frayser Urban Garden Council, Commissioner Charlie Caswell District 6, William Richardson, Frayser residents, community partners, friends, and the many beautiful souls who are now part of the Frayser Garden Family. 💚 #FrayserUrbanGarden #Community #Legacy #gardenfamily
