‼️‼️It's no April Fool's joke - Shelby Farms Stables adult beginner riding camp is back, and there are still spots left! Questions? We've got answers!

❓What ages can come to camp?
⌛️Anyone 16 and older can ride!

❓Do I have to have any horse experience?
🐎Absolutely not! We love having everyone from absolute, true beginners to folks with a little bit of experience who want to work on their skills.

❓What will I learn?
📚In addition to learning the fundamentals of riding, our camp will teach you how to be safe on the ground around horses, groom and tack up. We'll also learn about horse anatomy and care, plus other fun activities.

❓Is there anything else I should know?
✨We'll have riding days Monday, Wednesday and Friday for two weeks and optional ground learning classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You'll get a horse on your first day of camp and that'll be your mount for the full two weeks.

GREAT NEWS! Pancho is safe back home! We got a call tonight from the people wanting to return him no questions asked. It turned into a dramatic event. They asked us to meet us on the dead end road going down past Trinity Baptist Church. When we got there, surprise, the horse had got away from them. Our head tracker Jess immediately started tracking him which led her to Trinity Baptist. About that time a car pulled up and told us there was a horse going west on Trinity. We caught up with him and caught him. He is in good shape. I want to thank Jess for tracking him the 5 miles earlier today, all of you who shared the post over 1,000 times and the news station. I believe all this pressure is what made the people do the right thing. We will let it end here. Thank you all.

MISSING HORSE ALERT we are missing one horse from last night. Last seen on our premises yesterday afternoon with a green winter blanket on.

2:30 UPDATE !!! Several witnesses saw a man leading the horse yesterday down the greenway at 4:30 in the afternoon. We tracked the horse for 5 miles to a fenced in pasture across from Cordova School on Rocky Hills Dr. where we lost the tracks at that point. The witnesses that saw the man with the horse said he appeared to be in mid 20s -30s a white male about 5’10”. It is in the hands of Shelby county sheriffs department now. The horse is a older appaloosa/quarter horse cross. If you know anything in that area where we tracked him to please call us. If whoever has the horse calls us we will come get him with no questions asked but that deal ends tonight.

Our Shelby Farms Stables team had a pretty successful day at the Distance Championships. We ended up winning the 50 mile Championship in the Appaloosa division, Reserve Champion in the Half Arabian division, Best Condition, and High Vet score. It was great to see some people I haven’t seen in years like Jeff Hartman and Patty Jo.
