Dogs Rule Daycare & School® is Memphis' original and premiere dog daycare. Conveniently located in As a result, the business grew as did the need for help.

Established in 1997
Dogs Rule Day Care & School® began when Sallie Hughes left a 24-year career in sales and marketing to follow her dream of working with dogs. She began with a playground on Pleasant View Road and was soon entertaining five to ten dogs a day. Her location was a bit out of the way, and dog day cares were almost unheard of at the time. In 2000, Sallie bought a moving van and conver

ted it into a bus in order to pick up dogs for her day care. By chance, Olivia Montgomery moved onto the street where Sallie lived, and she agreed to work for Sallie part-time. However, this temporary job grew on her so much, before she knew it Olivia became Sallie's business partner. In March 2003, Sallie and Olivia found a perfect space in midtown Memphis. With its large building, parking lot, and central location they knew it was the perfect place to relocate their dog day care. Dogs Rule® opened in its current location on May 1, 2003.

We hate to do this, but Dogs Rule Daycare will be CLOSED Tuesday, January 31st out of an abundance of caution for our clients and staff with the predicted inclement weather. Please be careful out there folks. We’ll keep you posted about Wednesday. 🐶❤️🐾
