The WavelinQ ™️ and Ellipsys ™️devices have changed the game for hemodialysis patients! Patients are now able to have fistulas created in a non-invasive way, which creates optimal recoveries for patients.

Did you know?

⭐️We are one of the only offices in the Memphis area that offers both of these technologies for patients that need percutaneous fistula creation (pAVF).

⭐️Ellipsys™️ only uses a SINGLE catheter to create a fistula, and WavelinQ™️ uses two catheters, with the addition of radio-frequency to create a fistula.

⭐️Non-surgical fistula creation decreases the downtime required to recover & eliminates surgical scarring.

⭐️Non-surgical fistula creation reduces patient lifestyle disruptions, decreases the likelihood for subsequent interventions, and lessens the probability of future hospitalizations.

If you know a patient who has been SEARCHING for a center that uses WavelinQ™️or Ellipsys™️, have them contact us at 901-726-1130 & our team would be happy to help. 🙏🏼

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is a narrowing or blockage of the arteries that prevents blood circulation 🩸

Some risk factors of PAD are:
1. SMOKING 🚬, which can worsen the condition and symptoms of PAD overtime.
2. Diabetes: Blood vessel damage can result from high blood sugar levels 💉
3. Hypertension: Elevated blood pressure increases the likelihood of plaques forming on the arteries, leading to vessel obstruction.
4. Aging: As you age (above age 50), the likelihood of acquiring this condition rises.
5. Obesity: Being obese increases risk of PAD due to poor circulation, this straining circulation.
6. High Cholesterol: Increases plaque formation, thus increasing risk of PAD.

If you find yourself checking the boxes for several of these risk factors, feel free to give our office a call at 901-726-1130 to schedule an evaluation. 💉

what makes our center more efficient than other vascular centers? 👀🚨

•Our center is an outpatient center: At Bluff City Vascular, we operate outside of a hospital, leaving our patients with the ability to go home and recover on the same day they receive treatment. This often leads to improved patient recovery due to increased comfort and lifestyle-familiarity.

• We are able to facilitate continuity of care: With our center being an private-practice,outpatient center, our patients are working with the same professionals from start to finish. Our patients do not have to fret having their case being passed over to another professional that is unaware of the patient’s history.

•We have a in-house, comprehensive surgical team: We are equipped with 2x board-certified nephrologists, a nurse-practitioner, a CRNA, a registered sonographer, and scrub technicians that facilitate clinical care. With an arsenal of a team, we are able to tackle an obstacle.
