UDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!!! PIPER IS ADOPTED!!!!!! Thank you so very much for your shares, offers, kind words, and even the phone calls of support. It takes a village and you guys are awesome!
UPDATE: Go Doggie Mobile Daycare has offered free training if she gets adopted. Thank you Go Doggie! Someone has offered to transport this girl. And someone has offered a free Zoomie session to the adopter. There are resources coming forward to help if we can just get her into a home.
Piper. It is with a heavy heart that that we must say goodbye to our sweet Piper if she is not adopted this week. Before you come at us for making this decision, you need to know the following. This poor girl has literally grown up in this shelter. She came to us at 4 months old back on June 6th. We have tried to highlight her multiple times. We even have her picture hanging in our lobby to attract attention to her. We have suggested her to multiple people for fostering or adoption. We have prayed that she would receive a miracle that has not come. We just don't know what else to do for her. She is good with other dogs but no cats. She loves to swim and play fetch. So, why is she still here? She sounds perfect right? The truth is, she is HYPER. Not just a little hyper either. Her nickname is Hyper Piper. Some have looked at her but decided she was too much for them. Honestly, she needs a very active home with someone that has the knowledge to train her. She won't always be this way.
