Taking advantage of the beautiful weather for some fun in the sun!
Imagine going to your door with your dog and sending it to "place" a few rooms away before allowing guests to enter your home. Doing so allows your dog to adjust to the presence of guests from a safe distance before greeting them. In this video, Smedley, a six-month-old Cane Corso undergoing Enhanced Training, shows how it's done - with enthusiasm galore! 😁

You've been told that if you introduce two dogs at a "neutral" territory like a dog park and they get along well, then they will get along well in your home too. Well, I hate to break it to you, but it's not that simple.

Here's the deal: the dog you end up with depends on the time and effort you put into training. If you slack off, you might have a rowdy, disobedient pet on your hands. But if you're willing to put in the work, you can have a well-behaved companion that makes life easier. It's all about being consistent and guiding your dog in the right direction. So, let's get to it and train that dog to be the best they can be.

There's Nothing "Automatic" About Training Your Dog
This video is the first in a series I will produce to help us develop the critical mindset for proper dog training and solving complex behavior problems. In this video, I have chosen to focus on the word "automatic" because there is a vast difference between the "automatic" behavior created by evolution and the automatic behavior you are trying to establish when training your dog. Not knowing the difference can cause a lot of grief and lead to placing your dog in a hazardous situation.
