Happy Freedom Friday! 🥳🥳 All of these babies were pulled from minus Draco (he was abandoned at a vet’s office 🥲) Meet Kevin the golden retriever, Mari(gold) the aussie/ collie/ golden mix, Lily the staffie, Gunner the chihuahua (coming to us as soon as he’s neutered) and Draco the shepherd/ malinois. Update 8/12: both boys are SURVIVORS of parvo 🥹🥳 and in a foster home getting stronger by the day. We are still accepting donations for their week long hospitalization bills.

Update 8/9: Flower got a plasma transfusion last night. Bambi is eating a little today. We will keep rooting for these two!

Hi everyone! Bambi & Flower here. 🦌🦨

Yes, we are named after a baby deer and a blue eyed skunk from this famous movie we are too young to know about.

It’s been a scary 24 hours. We went from being carefree 14 week old pups to loosing the third member of our trio (Thumper) 🐇 in his sleep last night. 💔

We were rushed to the vet today and had to do lots of tests we didn’t like and discovered we have the big bad parvo virus.

Right now, we are in this place called the hospital and getting all the good meds, fluids, IVS and cuddles. We like the nice ladies that take care of us and tell us how special we are. We were told if we make it through this, we are really special pups and we hope to hang in there.

Please send us some prayers and support our care, so we can stay in the hospital as long as we need to get better. Xoxo Bambi & Flower

July adoptions part 2 (bc all the photos wouldn’t fit in one post)! 😱 We had a RECORD breaking month and adopted out NINETEEN dogs in our rescue during the month of July. Happy Tails, Hardy, George, Gris Gris, Missy, Charlie Brown, Gumbo, Twyla, Jazzy, & Stevie ! April- June was rough for the rescue but we are back on our feet and July was an AMAZING month! 🤩🤩

Thanks to everyone for sticking with us, sharing our posts, donating, fostering and adopting! Our spirits are lifted and so many dogs have gotten their happy tail! YOU are all helping US make a difference! We couldn’t do this without your support! ❤️🐾

Meet my two right hand women! The women behind Happy Tails Canine Rescue who keep the organization running. Hannah Collins is our adoption/ foster coordinator who has been instrumental in setting up our Petfinder account, writing our pets bios & posting their photos, making posters, setting up transport up north, and coordinating with vets, shelters, fosters & adopters and ALL that entails (it’s A LOT)! & meet Erika Kinzer Cothran who is our fundraising chair and secretary! She has set up so many successful events like pups & yoga, fundraiser nights, pup portraits, designed our T shirts, happy tails cups, bandanas, helps run our social media & email account, plans our monthly events and WRITES + designs our monthly newsletter. OOF!

We are an organization that is volunteer based and every cent we raise goes back into the rescue. We are all unpaid volunteers that have full-time jobs, lives and families- but do this because we love these dogs and I know we each put in 20-30 hours a week for the rescue.

Before these two came along, I was struggling to balance it all and I am beyond grateful to have them as not only my rescue partners but friends. 💖

I could NOT do this without them and all the fosters and volunteers we have. We truly have the BEST team. I often get asked how our rescue has been so successful in only 6 short months and it’s because of our volunteers, fosters, and the people who have chosen to adopt from us. Update: Adopted 🐶🏠

Tucker is a shiba inu/ chihuahua mix, under 20 lbs and a sweet boy! He is neutered and up to date on shots, prevention, and medical care. He loves to go on walks, play, and is good with people and both big and little dogs! He is potty trained, crate trained, can use the doggie door, AND is bilingual- Tucker understands Spanish and English! We are looking for a foster or adopter for this sweet boy. He’s been with us since March and he deserves his forever family! Please DM us to inquire about Tucker.

Hey everybody! We are trying to pull one of our dogs out of boarding and move him to our rescue room. He’s too strong and can bust out of the two kennels we have in there and they are also in use for other dogs. Can anyone donate this heavy duty one from Tractor supply?
