If your pet doesn't need a haircut, our kennel teams at Downtown, Midtown, Lakeland, and Collierville are happy to give your babies a kennel bath any weekday! 🛀 Drop them off with us in the morning and your pup will receive a bath, blow dry, ear cleaning and nail trim. We can usually accommodate the very next day so give us a call. Prince Pedro even received a kennel bath while he was here receiving his annual vaccines - one stop shop for your spa and veterinary needs!

Captain came to visit Dr. Madison and his team for an exam recently and we made sure to give him his complimentary mani-pedi while he was here. While a free nail trim is included with every exam, cats can also take advantage of our $10 walk-in nail trim services at any of our locations! Just make sure your kitty is up-to-date on their rabies vaccine and they’re good to go! 💅

We are all about mentorship here at The Pet Hospitals and this picture showcases that mentorship in action! 💪 All of our newer veterinarians like Dr. Martin participate in a year-long weekly mentorship program going over different topics ranging from medical cases, client communication, mental health and more. Dr. Bugg has also stepped into a larger mentorship role as she meets with our new veterinarians once a week to help with anything that they may need including guidance and support during complicated surgeries. Finally, we host vet students in their 3rd and 4th years of vet school as they complete weeks-long externships where they get hands-on experience with our veterinarians in a busy clinic. We're so proud of all of their successes!

We were absolutely OBSESSED with sweet Shiloh and her beautiful white eyebrows when she was here for her annual check-up. 😍 Shiloh's family opted to take advantage of our Early Detection Panel or EDP - our discounted bloodwork and urine panel - at this visit. It checks her internal health with parameters in her blood, liver, kidneys, thyroid and pancreas as well as urine health. This allows us to catch and address anything that might be making her not feel like herself quickly leading to a long life that rivals the length of her long eyebrows! 🤍

In today's "it-seemed-like-a-good-idea-at-the-time" kind of case, we present handsome boy, Cane. Cane was playing keep away with a tennis ball when he decided the best plan of action was to chew it and swallow it entirely! That earned him a trip to The Pet Hospitals where Dr. Faulkenbery had to undo what Cane had done. After vomiting once, it seemed like we had gotten most of the tennis ball out, but after a confirmatory x-ray (you can see a cross section of the rubber circled), we still saw pieces in his stomach. After two rounds of emesis and a sheepish "I'm so sorry" look from Cane later, all pieces of tennis ball found themselves outside of his body where they belonged! 😮‍💨

Did you know that when your pet is under anesthesia when here for a teeth cleaning, our doctors can also perform minor procedures like small mass removals or biopsies so your pet doesn't have to have two different anesthetic procedures? Our veterinary assistants continue to monitor your pet during anesthesia and veterinarians like Dr. Infante are able to sterilely perform these minor procedures after your pet's teeth are done being cleaned. Reach out to your veterinarian to see if your pet may be a candidate!

When pets (and humans) are under anesthesia, their body temperature starts to lower. To help keep pets warm, we have special body warmers during surgery and warm bedding when they are recovering afterwards and they are always monitored by one of our veterinary assistants throughout. Our team treats your pets like their own. 🥰

Roxy visited Dr. Kimble and our Collierville team for a teeth cleaning recently and wanted to see what it was like on the other side of the stethoscope. Turns out she’d much rather be eating the treats than being the one handing them out! 😘
