Thank you our amazing Team! You outdid yourselves with the care package for James. We are about to put it to great use, maybe even the Buster collar 😜 He’s awake from his oral surgery and trying to crack jokes - probably not anything the nurses haven’t heard before, but he thinks he’s funny and original.

We appreciate everyone’s patience while James is recovering. He should be brand new in about a week.

Please join us in congratulating our amazing client Kayla-Anne on her new AKC Champion! What an accomplishment at such a young age 💚

Conformation is a sport where purebred dogs are evaluated against the standard of their breed. The judge ensures dogs are of sound structure AND temperament, are stable in their environment, and work well with the handler. Dogs are not compared to one another, but their written standard. Since all purebred dogs were created for a specific purpose, preservation breeders often compete in conformation to ensure the dogs represent the breed well. They also health test, temperament test and title their dogs in various sports, so the puppies have every chance to be stable, healthy and of sound structure.

✨ NEW CHAMPION ✨

His first time out showing and the baby boy killed it! Not only did he finish his Championship from the bred-by class in one cluster but he also picked up his CGC, CGCA, CGCU and TKN. At only 8 months old *pending AKC approval he will be:

*CH* Usher du Rayon de Soleil *CGCA CGCU TKN*

Rowdy and Ultra also showed this week and both did great! Ultra did not see any love but she was her happy go lucky self and still only sits 4 singles from her Championship. Rowdy did great as well picking up her second major and going WB/BOW today putting herself only 4 singles away from finishing. Ultra also got her CGC and Rowdy picked up her CGC, CGCA, CGCU and TKN.

Overall a really great time was had with some really great people! Next up, Greenville.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of her puppies’ journeys in conformation, other sports, and active companionship. Good luck in your new home, Dwell! Puppies are beginning to leave the nest and start their new chapters with their new owners. It’s always bittersweet when they start to leave but hearing how awesome they are adjusting to their new lives makes it all worth it.

As we gear up for the 4th of July celebrations, it’s important to remember that the loud noises and fireworks can be very stressful for our furry friends. Every year, many pets run away due to the fear and anxiety caused by fireworks.

Make sure your pet is microchipped – it’s a simple and effective way to ensure they can be identified and returned to you if they get lost. If your pet is already microchipped, take a moment to update your contact information.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, human and critter! This is the man who instilled in me at a young age the love of animals, compassion, and quest for scientific knowledge. With a dad like that, it’s no surprise I pursued veterinary medicine as a life long passion. Dad shares a special relationship with our dogs, and he misses Bella to this day. His advice to all the pet owners is to enjoy the time we share with them, and take no day for granted 🩷

Over 50% of Dobermans will be diagnosed in their lifetime and most succumb to it, even at a young age. Please, consider early detection with Holter monitor and imaging.
