For those unfamiliar with the breed, Beauceron is an iconic French herding dog that’s gaining popularity in the United States. They are large, intelligent, hard working dogs. Breeders heavily screen potential homes for ability to provide mental and physical enrichment to these active dogs. They tend to be a healthy breed. Preservation breed programs screen for heart and orthopedic problems, track cancer instances in pedigrees, and monitor for other health issues.

Please join us in wishing Lorena safe travels and a wonderful time as she heads to Idaho! Lorena is one step away from completing her License requirements, and it involves playing with farm animals in the snow and mud. Real cows this time, not just cow colored dogs😂🐄. Dr Lapova’s vet school coveralls are serving her well despite being over 25 years old - possibly older than her!🤩 Bon voyage Lorena!

Holiday season is in full swing! We are beyond grateful to all of you for choosing RBAH as your other family Doctor. You filled our 2024 with love, support and patients to love ❤️

New year will bring resolutions, hopes, dreams and .. sadly higher prices. Our entire Team, especially James and inventory manager Laura, strive to maximize savings. Please check your supplies of prevention, medications, food etc. Is your pet due or slightly overdue for care? We still have open December appointments and available supplies. Call us to schedule, refill - and beat the inflation!

At RBAH, we understand the unique temperaments and health of working dog breeds. We offer OFA submissions for hip and elbow evaluation - although Gozer has to wait another year for a permanent score. We love seeing your malis, dutchies, GSDs and other working breeds!

As we gather to celebrate, let’s remember to keep our pets safe:

• Avoid giving them fatty or seasoned foods from the table.
• Keep chocolate and desserts out of reach.
• Make sure trash bins are secured to prevent curious noses from finding something harmful. Make sure everyone is aware of escape artists.

Everyone in the south knows how devastating canine parvovirus can be. Have you heard of CPMA? Canine parvovirus monoclonal antibody (CPMA) is a treatment for canine parvovirus (CPV) that is administered intravenously to dogs eight weeks or older. It is the first USDA-conditionally approved treatment for CPV in dogs.
Oreo and several of our patients have received this lifesaving treatment with great success! We are so happy to give a healthy puppy back to his doting family. Please, vaccinate your puppies on schedule and in cases of unfortunate infections, don’t hesitate to ask us about CPMA🩵

Welcome to RBAH! We are a 2 Doctor, NON-CORPORATE family Veterinary Practice, serving our community since 1978, when Dr. Richard Leggett built RBAH at the site of former Phillips 66. Dr. Lapova purchased and renovated RBAH in 2013. Dr. Green has been with the Practice almost 2 decades, and Dr. Leggett is enjoying well deserved retirement. We are a true family business. We don’t answer to a suit in Connecticut or corporate office in Oregon. Our Doctors and Team are long term RBAH family, and we enjoy building lasting relationships with our Patients and you, our valued Clients!
