🆘 Black Tie Boston Rescue needs a temporary home for this girl in Holly Springs, NC!

🆘 Can you give Winnie a temporary home? She is out of options‼️

Winnie did not get along with a dog in her home. She is now in a foster home, but her foster family is leaving town and she must be moved within the next couple of days! Winnie gets very stressed in a boarding/kennel environment so we pray that someone with no dogs, or the ability to keep them separated, will step up to give her a spot while she awaits her forever home!

Winnie has done fine with many other dogs but can be unpredictable with them. She loves her people and does fine with cats!

This girl is around 2 years old and 19 lbs. She found herself in a shelter after her owner was arrested, which was a traumatic event for Winnie! The shelter was a very scary place for her so they contacted BTBR right away.

Winnie loves people and dogs (with certain guidelines!), and has done fine with cats in her foster home.
❗️ She needs a home where her owners are at home (all owners) most of the time. She has adjusted wonderfully to her people when she sees them regularly, but has trouble warming up if they leave for long periods of time each day, especially men.
❗️She can be around a play with other dogs while under complete supervision, but cannot live with other dogs. Winnie loves to run and play with other dogs but has proved to be unpredictable with them and shouldn’t be left unattended.
❗️Winnie is fearful of being locked in a crate. She’s go in to take a break but likes the door open. She has done well being loose in her foster home and loves to sleep with the humans at night. She is also fearful of loud noises. She will bark at noises and strangers walking by.
❗️Because of her past experiences and fears, she needs older or no children in her home.
❗️A secure fence is a must. This girl enjoys her zoomies and is a jumping bean. 😘

Here's the reality: if we don’t have open foster homes, we simply can’t save more dogs. Turning away a Boston Terrier due to lack of space breaks our hearts, but we're running out of placements and we need you! 💔

Foster homes are the backbone of our rescue and mean the difference between life and death for many of our Bostons. Since we don’t have a facility, these dogs depend entirely on loving foster homes until they’re adopted. We’re a foster-based organization spread out across many different states—and that makes you crucial to our mission.

We cover all approved medical expenses for our foster dogs. All we ask is for you to provide the space and time for a Boston to decompress and get ready for a new beginning❤️

Adoptable Buddha

Buddha is a 5 year old Boston Terrier that weighs about 20lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and on heart worm prevention.

Say hello to Buddha, a super sweet boy! Buddha came to the rescue from a breeder and we do not have much info about his history other than he was living in dirty conditions without proper care. He is crate trained, but still needs additional work with potty training. He shows no food aggression but does love to eat every last bite. He prefers soft treats over hard ones. Buddha gets along great with other dogs and LOVES kids! When Buddha isn’t snuggled right next to you, he is playing with his stuffed animals or rolling around on his back begging for belly rubs. He enjoys car rides and dog park visits. He will walk on leash. Buddha is looking for a furever famiy that is willing to integrate him into the home as a member of the family. He would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day to continue his potty training. Buddha will let you know he has to go potty by putting his face to your face. Responding to him quickly will ensure he stays on track with his potty training. When you do get home after being gone, Buddha will greet you with zoomies!

📢 **IMPORTANT UPDATE: Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue Annual Tea Party RESCHEDULED OCTOBER 26** 🌧️

Due to the anticipated impact of Hurricane Francine with up to 4-5 inches of rainfall, high winds, and possible tornadoes expected for middle Tennessee, and to ensure the safety of all our guests and volunteers, we are rescheduling our Annual Tea Party gathering and fundraiser for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26.

We regret any inconvenience caused by this unforeseen circumstance. Rest assured though, all registered guests who made a meal purchase will be able to use their registration for the rescheduled event! 🌟
