🎉SUCCESS STORY: Worth the Wait ⏳🐾
We have a very special Gotcha Day to celebrate! 🎉 Tucker (formerly Thad) is marking one whole year with his forever family—the one he waited so patiently for.❤️ After over two years in foster care, Tucker finally found his perfect match, and it’s safe to say he’s thriving! He has the best dog friends to play with, acres to explore, and humans who love him endlessly. 🐶🏡
Tucker’s mom was kind enough to share an update on his incredible first year in his forever home:
“A year ago this week, Tucker (aka Thad) made the long ride from Tennessee to Ohio. And he hasn't looked back. There have been many new discoveries.
Tucker found out he loves running in the snow but is not fond of the ice as it takes more coordination than he wants to give. He thinks naps on a lap is about as good as food. Shortly after arriving in Ohio, he met his best friend, Delaney. She lives next door, and they love chasing each other and getting into mischief.
Tucker's favorite pastime, when not napping or playing with Delaney, is chasing the birds from tree to tree.
There have been adjustments too. He tolerated obedience school because he knew his humans needed it more than he did. He is learning to be the only dog in the house. He lost his two older fur brothers this year—boxer brother, Kato, in the summer and the old man, Frankie, just last week. He misses them both. Lastly, he can't understand why his humans keep putting the dog beds back after he moves them where he wants them—piled on top of each other.
Tucker and his family want to thank all involved in getting him to Ohio. He has definitely found his forever home!!”
Tucker’s story is proof that some things are worth the wait—but he’s not the only one.
