Did you know that we recommend an Early Detection Panel (EDP) as part of a cat's annual visit just like we do for dogs? 🤔 This panel checks:

😺 Blood Chemistry - Checks for internal organ function and health
😺 Complete Blood Count (CBC) - Checks red and white blood cells as well as platelets which can show infection, anemia, leukemia, and other conditions
😺 Thyroid Function - Checks for hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism
😺 Urinalysis - Checks for infection, kidney disease, diabetes and other conditions

With just a quick blood draw and urine sample, you get SO much information about your kitty's health! Handsome boy Totoro was "purrfect" during his annual exam and sample collection for his EDP!

Happy 2nd TPH-iversary to Veterinary Assistant Chloe! 🥳 "I can honestly say Chloe is one of my all time favorite people to work with. She shows up to have a good day every day. She is kind and consistent in her work and treatment of our patients. She loves cats and treats them all like they were her own, gentle, reassuring and kind. She is also a team player. If I can’t find her on the floor it’s because she has jumped to another team to give them a hand while I’m charting or talking with a client. With guests coming and going, pets are at risk for sneaking outside. Make sure they have an up-to-date ID and microchip or keep them in a quiet room to reduce their stress.

🍗 Stuff Yourself, Not Your Pet 🍗
Stick with your pet's regular diet and treats this holiday to avoid trips to the vet for vomiting, diarrhea and pancreatitis.

🦃 Take Out the Trash 🦃
Secure leftovers in the fridge and in the trash outside to avoid the temptation for your pet to ingest thing like bones.

🍗 Keep Décor Out of Reach 🍗
Flowers and potpourri can be toxic and candles can be dangerous if knocked over. Keep them out of reach.

When Dr. Faulkenbery started with us this summer, one of his first patients was Penny, a pup who visited him for multiple bandage changes over many weeks. Penny’s parents were so thankful for the wonderful care Dr. Faulkenbery provided that they gifted him with coasters and a mug with her photo on it! He uses the mug every day!
