🎉Today is a very special day and we want to make sure we celebrate this right! Today marks 8 years for east Memphis general manager, Jess! 👏We are very proud and excited to celebrate Jess being with brown dog for 8 years! She is one of the best boss’s anyone could ever ask for! And beyond that she is the best friend anyone could ask for (that’s coming from the assistant managers 😉). We all joke because you can hear Jess from the parking lot. 😂 She is always doing something from taking care of the doggy’s in the back or making sure the facility is in tip top shape. 🚨 DUKEZILLA TURNS 5 🚨 We want to wish the happiest of 5th birthdays to Duke! He has been coming to daycare for years, and you can usually find him napping in the corner, but his mom makes sure he makes friends and joins all of the activities. 😂 Fun Fact: Duke was the only dog to finish his passport this summer!!! 🎉We’re going to wish a happy weekend birthday to Dilsey! We got to celebrate her birthday this week since she won’t be here this weekend and she had a total blast! She got her hair done and looks absolutely beautiful for her pictures! 🎂She was super happy to get a special birthday treat! Today at G’Town, we are wishing a very happy TWO YEAR Anniversary to our Assistant Manager, Brooke!!🥳🥳🥳 Brooke started as a kennel tech and quickly earned her way into management! Today, we’re celebrating our beloved Raiford, who is turning the big 1-1! 🎂🎈 To mark this milestone, we threw a casino-themed birthday bash because Raiford is doubling down on fun and his age! 🎰🃏
Raiford, our food-loving, nap enthusiast, had a blast sitting on his throne, watching all his friends play. 🐶👑 Known for his love of lounging, Raiford spent the day in true style – napping between treats and belly rubs. Wednesday we celebrated a remarkable milestone for a truly remarkable person. Five years ago, Benjamin walked through our doors, and it’s been a journey of joy, growth, and lots of tail wags ever since!
It was no question, if you’ve seen Benjamin’s anniversary pictures over the years, who his dog of choice was for this picture. Gracie 🐶, his all-time favorite pup. It was love at first bark for these two, and their bond has only grown stronger with each passing day. Gracie may be the queen of fetch, but it’s Benjamin who has caught all the pups hearts.

Almost a year ago, a shy little pup named Saul trotted 🐾 into our lives, and what a journey it’s been! From the timid dog who first stepped paws into BDL to the confident and playful furball that has all of us completely smitten, Saul has grown so much. It took just a week for Saul to warm up to our loving employees, and not long after, he was romping around with his pals in the small dog daycare. Now, he’s the life of the party, making friends with every dog he meets and charming every human in sight.
Saul, you’ve become a staple of our pack, and we can’t imagine our days without your wagging tail and joyful spirit. Here’s to many more years of fun, friendship, and belly rubs! We love you, Saul! 🎈🐶💕

We are so excited to welcome our newest DVM to the Pack! Dr. Lia Gross is joining the Deer Creek Animal Hospital team in Phoenix, AZ, though she is originally from New Mexico! Dr, Gross graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing in a primary care veterinary setting for over 10 years. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband Jordan and their three dogs - Kylee, Dante, and Chaos.

Due to the events of the F3 tornado that hit the Valley View & Sanger, TX area, the Animal Hospital on Milam Road's wonderful staff has gone out into the community & rescued many fur babies and brought them back into the clinic for shelter and care.

There are many pups that they have under their care as well as that have needed treatment. One of their lovely guests is named Willow & was found on the side of the road by a wonderful human & she has a broken leg & pelvis that needs an important extensive surgery! Funds will go towards Willow's surgery, vaccinations, medications, & other treated injuries! They also have some pups that have found their owners but will be staying at the clinic at no cost due to their homes being destroyed or them being hospitalized themselves that funds will go towards.

Last week, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Destination Pet’s field leaders participated in QPR Gatekeeper training and certification with none other than the incredible Dr. Mia Cary. QPR stands for “Question, Persuade, Refer” and is a data-driven and conversation-based way of supporting folks who are experiencing su***de ideation.

We are excited to announce the appointment of Leviathan Winn as our new Chief Financial Officer.

Leviathan brings more than 20 years of finance, mergers & acquisitions, strategy, digital and retail services experience.

Prior to Destination Pet, Leviathan served as the Chief Financial Officer at Zulily, a leading e-commerce company within Qurate Retail, Inc. (NASDAQ: QRTEA). In that position, he was responsible for the finance function and the transformation efforts for Zulily and led it to a successful sale. Prior to that, Leviathan was the CFO at Qdoba Mexican Eats, Taco Bell and served as an Audit Committee Board Member for Smart & Final, where he helped lead a successful sale to Grupo Comercial Chedraui (BMV: CHDRAUI).

We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our first-ever veterinary wellness clinic within the NY Dog Spa & Hotel at 32 W. 25th St., NY. This innovative concept, a collaboration with Vetted Pet Health will now allow us to provide pet parents with veterinary services in selected Destination Pet premium pet resort locations already offering daycare, boarding, grooming, or training services. This partnership mirrors the convenience of human Minute Clinics, like those found in CVS, but tailored to meet the unique pet parenting needs: wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, consultations on allergies, anxiety, and nutrition, as well as advanced testing.
