For those who have asked about what will happen to Havoc. I am very grateful to be able to report he will continue his mission with another veteran. Chad would be happy to know I feel. I miss Chad so much, but I know he is in a better place. I am honored to help the family in this way and honor Chad’s memory in this way.
It has been a true privilege and honor to train for Chad and his Service Dog in Training, “Havoc.” Chad’s unwavering commitment and boundless excitement for Havoc’s future was contagious and brought joy to everyone around him. His smile spoke volumes about his pride in this journey, and his dreams for Havoc’s role in service were inspiring. I’ll never forget the light in Chad’s eyes whenever he encountered the Elk’s Service Dog in Training, “Charity.” His face would soften, and he’d make a special point to go over and give her his love, always bringing a gentle warmth to the room.
In an act of selfless love, Chad’s family has donated Havoc to LifeLine Service Dogs, ensuring that his legacy lives on in the work that Havoc was born to do. With heavy hearts, we pick up the leash and continue training Havoc, carrying forward Chad’s vision for a future of service and support. Havoc will now be trained to serve another veteran, fulfilling the very purpose that Chad so deeply believed in.
We are profoundly grateful to have had the opportunity to train for Chad. His kindness, dedication, and spirit will always remain with us, and through Havoc, his legacy will continue to touch lives in ways that words cannot capture. We will carry on with Chad’s vision, honoring his memory with each step Havoc takes.
I’d like to Thank Erin Anderle Collegiate Program Director for LifeLine Service Dogs and CEO of Happy Tails Pet Services, for her huge role for the Phase 1 training for Havoc. She personally boarded Havoc when Chad was admitted to the hospital while we readied his room and coordinated the families surrender and donation of Havoc to LifeLine. Thank you Erin ❤
