Some basic training/ health advice for your Dogs and or puppies. ๐๐ฉ๐ฆฎ๐โ๐ฆบ
1. Crate Training. Dogs do not think of their crates as jail, they think of them as a den or house. Crate training your puppy will make house training easier, teach calm house behaviors, and eliminate chewing and other destructive behaviors. If your dog has an illness or injury later, his puppy raising with a crate will be a magic assistant to his recovery. Trust me my dog Riley is recovering from TPLO surgery and it would be impossible without a crate.
2. Socialization. Your Puppy must meet dozens of people and dogs in lots of different situations. So important for young dogs!
3. Health Care- appropriate vaccinations, parasite control, grooming, and diet. Young puppies should not be taken into public areas until they have received at minimum two sets of vaccines- Parvovirus lives in grass, dirt, and sand- and can be fatal to young dogs, and very expensive to treat. Best to avoid it.
4. Enroll in Training Classes- from Puppy Kindergarten to basic obedience and beyond, the more your dog learns and the more you understand how to communicate with your dog, the more chance of a long happy life together.
