2025 Full Size Stock Rules
A few minor changes for 2025 in this class. If I missed something we will make that correction but here is what we have right now.
2025 Full Size Stock Rules
TYPE OF CAR
Any American or Foreign car except 1969 and older Lincolns and any Chrylser Imperial
PREPARATION OF CAR
Cars will remain ALL STOCK except where noted
BODY
1. Remove all glass, mirrors, and plastic, along with decking in wagons BEFORE arrival to track.
2. You must have number on roof or doors big enough and clear enough to read.
ROOF NUMBER IS MANDATORY!! No number could result in disqualification.
3. Gas tank and battery must be relocated inside car covered and secured. Maximum 2 Automotive batteries and max 10 gal fuel cell.
4. It is mandatory that a chain, strong wire or strap be secured from the center of roof to dash for a center post to stop hood
from coming through front window. Maximum 2 bars in windshield and may only connect from firewall to roof. Windshield must be removed.
5. NO fresh tucked wagons!!! Pre Run wagons will be allowed to sedagon but may only wire the roof in (4) spots sheet metal to sheet metal.
6. Trunk lid must remain on factory hinges if tucked. No ramps. Cars may be pre bent.
7. Anything can be REMOVED. Nothing can be added unless stated in the rules. Please do not assume that it is legal if it is not stated.
8. NO WELDING unless it is stated in these rules.
9. Hood and Deck lid will be open for Tech upon request. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
BODY MOUNT BOLTS
1. All body mounts MUST remain original with the exception of the front 2 core support bolts.
2. You may change the two at the core support to 3⁄4" all thread that can extend through the hood and the bottom of frame.
3. May have up to 5 inch spacer that can be welded to frame or body bracket on frame and on core support. 4 inch washers only
at core support.
4. Any other broken mounts may have #9 wire 2 strands ran through the body and the frame.
5. All other must be Stock body bolts and bushings.
6. All cars will be allowed an additional 2 bolts anywhere inside the vehicle. Bolts no larger than 1/2 diameter. Must point out these to inspectors.
DOORS
1. All doors must be wired,chained or welded shut. Safety is the issue. Drivers door may weld all vertical seams solid,outside seams only. All other doors vertical seams may have up to 12 inches total weld. Gas tank door may be welded.
HOODS AND TRUNKS
1. Must have two 4x4 holes cut in hood to put out fire. Hood may be secured a total of 6 spots. Wired or bolted.
2. Trunk may be wired,welded or bolted only in 6 spots max.
3. You maybe asked for inspection holes in trunk if inspectors feel they can not inspect vehicle fairly. Please understand we are wanting everyone to be on the same page.
FENDERS & QUARTER PANELS
1. Creasing fenders will be allowed
2. Fenders may be trimmed and 10 bolts per fender. Bolts not to exceed 3/8” with washers not to exceed 1” outside diameter
BATTERY
1. Must be in a secure position and be covered with something nonflammable like rubber tube. Batteries must be secured so they do not move.
STEERING COLUMN/BRAKES/SHIFTER/GAS PEDAL
1. The steering column may be modified from box to steering wheel. Must have a steering shaft. No Hydro Steering.
2. BRAKES MUST SHOW THE ABILITY TO STOP. All cars will be checked at inspection. Any car without brakes will not be allowedto compete!!! We have really been lacking on this rule but please have at least one wheel at least.
3. Pinion brake is allowed.
4. Floor shift is allowed. Cable shifter is allowed.
5. No protectors of any kind: distributor or transmission.
6. After market floor pedal and gas pedal allowed not to be used as reinforcement in anyway.
ENGINE/TRANSMISSIONS
1. Any motor/transmission only as long as installed in stock location.
2. Motor must be mounted on stock style mounts.
3. Homemade cross-members are allowed for motor/trans swap (Example: Chevy To Ford)
4. Lower engine cradles will be allowed. No pulley protector unless swaybar is removed.
5. No distributor or transmission protector allowed.
6. Transmission coolers WILL be allowed, but must be properly secured and proper lines MUST be used. Manual transmission must use a cast iron or steel scattershield. No aluminum bell housing.
DRIVE SHAFTS
1. Drive shaft may be shortened or lengthened.
2. Slip drive shaft are allowed.
3. Aftermarket sliders allowed.
Rear Differential
1. Any 5 lug automotive rear differential will be allowed. Absolutely no aftermarket housings or fancy aftermarket axles or axle savers allowed.
2. You may weld rear end spider gears.
3. Axle tubes may be welded. Brackets can be welded to mount in vehicle.
SUSPENSION/TRAILING ARMS/ A-ARMS
1.Stock suspension ONLY. Ball joints and spindles may be changed but must be same make as vehicle.
03 and newer Ford or Mercury MUST use factory aluminum saddle and rack and pinion steering.
2. A-Arms can be chained or welded down for height. A 3in by 3in strap on each A frame is allowed. Spring spacers are allowed.
BUMPERS
1. ANY stock or aftermarket bumper can be used. Only 1 bumper allowed on front of car and 1 bumper on rear.
2. No truck type bumpers allowed.
3. Chrome may be beat down on entire bumper and welded.
4. Hardnosed Allowed
5. Weld only 2 plates on bumper (1 Per Side) no gussets to frame Bumper plates may be no longer than 12 inches. They MUST be welded to the bumper.
6. Bumpers can have seams welded and stuffed.
FRAME
FRAME REPAIRS
1. Rust Holes may be fixed with same thickness material no larger than 3"x3" plate.
All fresh vehicles will be allowed 4 3in by 3in plates anywhere on the frame of the vehicle.
Pre run cars will be allowed 2 more 3in by 3in “bandaids”. No vehicle will be allowed anymore plates in this class.
Don't Over Due It Or You Won't Run This Class.
CAGE
1. 4 Point Cage allowed. Cage must remain inside the body of the car.
All cars will be allowed a total of 4 down bars from the cage to the top of the frame. Front down bars must be located in the center of the door. Rear down bars on vehicles with 4 doors in the center of the rear door. On 2 door vehicle the down bar must be no further than 24 inches behind the driver seat.
An inner door plate is recommended.
6” C- Channel max on doors with 5” max diameter pipe may be used for box cage. C-Channel may not be longer that 60” and seat bar must be within 6” of seat.
2. Rollover bars are highly recommended and be bolted to the roof.
3. Gas Tank Protector Allowed but must not touch package tray
GAS TANKS
1. Gas Tank must be secured so there is no movement. If tank is not secure, you will not be running. Tanks must have secure caps and no leaks.
2. No plastic tanks (exception heavy plastic racing fuel cell)
3. Maximum 10 gallons of gas. No other fuel permitted.
TIRES/WHEELS
1. Any wheel and tire can be used
2. No complete wheel protectors allowed.
3. Multi lug weld in centers permitted.
4. Only 4 wheels and tires on vehicle for competition.
These rules are for the Full Size Stock Class Only. Do not do any more than what is stated in these rules or you will have to move up. Do not do anything after inspection to make your cars illegal. Officials have the right to re-inspect cars at anytime. This is the maximum allowance of what you can do in this class.
