Where do I begin to say “thank you” to everyone who helped make this year’s
Mendota's Tri County Fair an overwhelming success? First to all our sponsors: you are fantastic! Your faith in us to put this event together for our community and to help preserve a little bit of “Americana” in this ever changing world, is greatly appreciated. You are the true backbone of life in the Tri County area. Next, thank you to our vendors who come out and share their wares and cuisines with the masses. The variety you brought to our exhibit hall and midway were appreciated. Then there are our exhibitors - those talented friends, neighbors, and relatives who do everything from baking pies and cookies, canning, crocheting, to woodworking. Your skills are stellar and I know you would love to see more people exhibit for this friendly competition to find the “ best of the best” from the Tri County area. A huge thank you to every man, woman and child that came to enjoy our event. We hope you enjoyed all aspects of the fair, from the carnival and motorsports to the fireworks, and you’ll share your enjoyment with others that weren’t there to see us first hand. Thanks to the directors and volunteers that worked with us to build our fair back up. We still have many more additions we want to bring back and add to our line up, and it’s volunteers that will help us achieve our vision. But most of all I want to thank my family for sharing my love for this endeavor and working together to sustain this organization. This fair has and always will be a significant part of my life, and yours, and I am determined to pass the “county fair” experience on to many generations beyond us. Now, let’s get working on Mendota Tri County Fair, 2025. Opening day, Thursday August 28, is already less than 12 months away!

And the trophies were stacked by the chimney with care as all the little demolition derby drivers busily put the finishing touches on their cars for the Annual Labor Day Demolition Derby at Mendota's Tri County Fair in just a few short hours. Only need to get radios on the charger, throw a load of laundry in and maybe I can avoid two, 3 o clocks today.
