Struggling and Living in the streets of Fontana for 2 months sweet Athena was rescued at 7am this morning by my husband Master Wolf Tim McVicker of Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc. on my 59th birthday 11/8/2024. For my birthday fundraiser I am asking that you please make a donation for Athena’s medical costs and care.🫶 We suspect she may be pregnant and she is going directly to our vet at Katella Animal Clinic for vetting and care before going home to her foster Mom. A miracle ocurred today after Master Wolf had already gone out to locate her unsuccessfully once this week. Shadow Husky Rescue got the call for help from Good Samaritan Nicole that she has been taken care of a stray dog up there in an abandoned Fontana lot. Then this morning when Tim McVicker pulled up she was there with Nicole at 7 am giving her food and water as has been the routine and huskies love their routines. When Tim McVicker pulled up and she got her freedom meal! She wasn’t scared of him after being out on the broken road for so long probably a couple of months. We are so elated and trust that you our fabulous team of supporters and followers will help Athena and any potential babies get the best medical care and amazing opportunities for a great future 💯% guaranteed! A wonderful foster who is a husky owner has already stepped up to enable us to move forward in our mission at Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc., is to rescue huskies that are displaced, unwanted, abused, lost, abandoned or scheduled for euthanasia and provide them with a second chance at life by finding them permanent homes.
Last year for my birthday I received the gift of a beautiful husky who had been deemed “too lovable” by her prior adopter. After 20 years of having husky fur babies I never knew love like that existed! This year Athena’s rescue are like fireworks please join me in celebrating her rescue‼️🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

Master Wolf with Shadow Husky Rescue has an owner that found a husky they are calling Baby girl on the streets that was abandoned in Costa Mesa Ca. Here is what the family had to say about her~

Hi Tim,

“She is a very good husky at around 1 year old at 33 pounds, dog and people friendly. Doesn’t bark knows sit and shake and is very easy to train. Yesterday she had one accident in the house and today she’s had none and has asked to go outside each time.
She’s around one years old.
She still needs some training as any puppy would, but is very well behaved for a puppy and very quiet for a husky

The only thing we’ve noticed is that she may be food territorial do to being on the road starving with other dogs. Not humans at all. So she will need training with that. She’s very food motivated and easy going.

She has a very goofy personality too. So cute! “

Master Wolf with Shadow Husky Rescue has a good human reaching out to our rescue for help! A beautiful stray female husky in an open Feild in Fontana has been roaming now for months looking for people to feed her and give her water. Nicole that lives just down the street that has been caring for her text me and here is what she had to say~

“Good morning. I saw your phone number on a Shadow Husky Rescue post. I’m trying to find help for a homeless husky. I have gained her trust and feed her daily. She is living in an abandoned field and there are coyotes in the area. I would love to bring her home but I have 3 dogs plus 2 that I am fostering. Do you know anyone who could help me with her?

Here are some pictures I took yesterday. She’s been alone for the days. It’s sad but the area I live in some people let there dogs roam. I believe she was in heat & different males would flock to her at different times. I talked to a neighbor who said they’ve seen her out here for months. I have been feeding her for about 6 weeks and she only started to trust me a couple weeks ago.

I live in Bloomington, California, east of Fontana.

I’m willing to transport her. I desperately want to get her help.

Now she comes to me when I call her. She wags her tail and gets happy to see me. Once I start petting her she will press her head against me. I did notice that she doesn’t like other dogs to eat with her. She will growl to let the other dogs know to back off. But she is dog friendly as I have seen her with different dogs at different times.

I’m really concerned for her because she seemed to be in heat a couple weeks ago. I saw her bleeding and there were male shepherds following her around. Now she’s alone and I hope she’s not pregnant. “

Master Wolf with Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc. is ecstatic to see the #1 Winner of the 2024 "Huskies Naughy & Nice" Calendar contest Cover girl AZUL on the November month which was the month Azul was born. Azul was an owner surrender adopted by Natalya Gambino through Shadow Husky Rescue, Inc. and I'm so happy she did!! Her mommy is a great friend of my wife too!! Azul also appears on the cover of our 2024 calendar. We are still assembling the 2025 calendar in anticipation of being able to get it shipped by early December in time for the holidays.
