Litter “A”… Litter “B”… Litter “C”… What do those letters mean?
At Vom Geliebten Haus, we name our litters alphabetically — A, B, C, and so on — simply to help us keep track of which puppies were born when.
It doesn’t mean that one female has had that many litters. In our program, we have several females, so:
One mom might have the A litter and later the D litter
Another mom might only have the B litter and never be bred again
Some breeders even give all the puppies in each litter names starting with that letter — like Charlie, Chelsea, and Clark for a “C” litter.
Using letters helps us stay organized and makes it easy to look back at each puppy’s place in our program’s history.
