Lone Star ticks have been found in Eau Claire County. Bites from the Lone Star tick can transmit diseases and a condition called alpha-gal syndrome, which makes people allergic to red meat. 🥩

Here’s some tips and tricks for ticks:
✅Wear light-colored clothes outdoors, tick in shirts and socks, treat outdoor clothing and shoes with permethrin
✅After spending time outdoors, check yourself, children, and pets for ticks
✅Shower to remove unnoticed ticks
✅Use tweezers to remove attached ticks

Today wraps up Vet tech week for 2023. What a fabulous group of ladies right here. We would be lost without you.
