Welsh Run Stables is a professional full service boarding, lesson, and training facility in Mercersb

Situated on 33 acres, Welsh Run Stables, offers a 22 stall barn with tack room accomodations with individual cubbies, hot/cold wash rack with heat lamp, 10x12 rubber matted box stalls, feed room, restroom, heated viewing room, and attached indoor arena. Dry/sacrifice lots with run in sheds open on to several large pastures.

First horse trial of the fall was a success. We all had lots fun and found out what we need to work on before the next one. We go schooling next week to hone in on our opportunities to improve for next month

Shoutout to our trainer, Nicole and her new guy, Lugano V who won their novice division and it was his first horse trial!

We have had such a busy summer with plenty of clinics, shows, and schoolings it’s been hard to keep up. Everyone has been progressing so nicely. What a good summer so far!

The Welsh Run crew had such a good outing at Sandstone yesterday for a combined test! Everyone had successful and educational rides. It was so great to have so many riders there competing and cheering each other on!

This was a great start to the season and each horse and rider pair walked away with some homework!

We are gearing up for our first horse trial of the year tomorrow. We have 1 rider in novice, 1 in BN, and 3 in elementary. Say hi and cheer us on if you’re at Loch Moy tomorrow!

We had a great time at the March Cross Derby at Loch Moy on Sunday! Our team, Royal Chaos ended in reserve for the series. We may not have got the trophy this year but we still always have a great time with this series.

We’ve been having a good summer being out and about!

Royal United Power Washing made the barn look brand new again last Friday. Rich removed dirt and build up from the last several years in an efficient and professional manner. We won’t let years go by before trying to tackle this big project again. Royal United barn washing will officially be part of our standard Spring cleaning!
