Say hello to Alan!!!! He is THE cutest 5 month old golden retriever with the best smile! He also sits and stays on command! What a smart boy! But dogs will be dogs…… Alan won himself a trip to the ER today for eating chocolate covered raisins. Two big no-no’s for our canine companions.

Have no worries, Al is going to be just fine!!! He went through detoxification and believe it or not, willingly ate his activated charcoal….. dogs! We usually have to syringe feed this to your pets lol

We wish Alan and his mom the best! 💙🩵

Cute kitten alert!!! Samsquanch AKA Sam wins cutest patient of the day!! He was the BEST boy!!!

Turns out poor Sam fractured 4 metacarpals, the bones that connect the ‘wrist’ (the carpus) to the ‘toes’ (the phalanges).

We placed a splint to help immobilize and support for optimal healing, sent him home with pain medication and a prescription for lots of rest!!! Can you imagine how hard that is when you’re a fun loving and playful kitten?! It shouldn’t be for long little buddy!!

Best of luck to Sam (and Sam’s mom) during his recovery! 💙💚💙💚

Cute patient alert!!!! Charlie is a 10 week old German Shorthair Pointer. As you can see from the second picture, Charlie is happy to show off his ‘pointing’ skills despite not feeling his best.

Exotic breed alert! Check out this good looking guy! Finnlay is a 6yr old Scottish Fold. This specific breed has a genetic mutation that causes the cartilage of their ears to ‘fold’ forward as they grow, giving them their unique appearance.

He was well mannered and a pleasure to work with today! Isn’t he just the cutiest!!!! We couldn’t stop cuddling him!!!

This little cutie had a few moments of playing peek-a-boo before deciding to come out of her carrier. Kona wasn’t thrilled that her mom brought her in for an urgent visit …… she cooperated but not without a little sass lol

Yesterday was the official last day of National Veterinary Technician Week…… but let me add on a bonus day!
