I know I’ve kinda taken the summer off of posting and a social media break but for anyone local I will be at the North pool tonight around 5:30. JoJo and I would love to see some Sunkissed Retrievers there is anyone is available! Come swim with Jojo!!!

**UPDATE** We are aware of the date being wrong on the website. That has been corrected and now reads Shawnee North on Aug 5th and Blaisdale on August 6th. Please remind your friends and neighbors that the website was not correct for Shawnee North. We apologize for any confusion.

The popular season-ending Dog Swims are set for Aug. 5 at Shawnee North Family Aquatic Center and Aug. 6 at Blaisdell Family Aquatic Center.

Due to their popularity the dog swims are split into sessions:
4-5:25 p.m. – Small dogs 30 pounds or less.
5:35-7 p.m. – All-size dog swim available for all dogs. No weight or size restriction

Cost: $5 per dog per session. The facility will be cleared between sessions. Owners wanting to have a dog swim for both time slots will need to leave the facility and reenter paying an additional $5 per dog.

For the safety of patrons and dogs:
Each owner may bring up to two dogs. All dogs must be under full control of an owner aged 13+.

Patrons are not permitted in water deeper than chest level and may not submerge beneath the surface.

Dogs are not allowed into the deep end/dive wells of the pool.

Dog toys are welcome.

Dogs must be vaccinated.

This event is a Dog Swim. No free swimming by people allowed.

Dog handlers will be required to sign a waiver prior to admission.

The puppies are 8 weeks old! This litter went so fast, they are so sweet and all going to amazing homes this weekend! I couldn’t be happier with our new families.

The puppies are 7 weeks old and getting spring fever! They’ve been cooped up inside for a couple rain days and enjoying this beautiful evening. We still have 2 boys and a girl available for pickup next week. Message me for details! 🩷🤎❤️🩶💛💚💜🖤💙🧡

We fell in love with the Golden Retriever for their disposition and natural instinct to be with their humans. They smart, trainable and reliable time and time again. They are also silly and cuddly and fun! Goldens Retrievers can be anything you want them to be from a snuggle buddy to a full on service dog. 💛🫶🐶

I also love the purpose bred dogs. I love seeing the differences when we go to dog training and seeing how the efforts of years and years of responsible breeding provides families and services with dogs that have purpose from herding to finding a missing person. It’s truly amazing when you think about it. 🐶

Spring has Sprung - A huge shoutout to Lainey who weathered the storm and did a great job helping me get these done in a quick manner. 🌪️💦 We have 2 boys and 1 girl available for May 9 pickup day. 🐶

The puppies have been getting lots of practice with little hands and little people with the help Alta and her friend Blayke! The girls love to come over and hold the puppies for me and help get them ready for their new homes.

We had a great time today getting puppy shots and vet checks with Dr. Taylor and friends at Banner Creek Animal Hospital P.A. They take such good care of our babies and stole some puppy snuggles along the way!

Best way to spend a Friday? With puppies, of course! These 6 week old Golden Retriever puppies came into see Dr. Taylor Kennedy for their first check up today! Aren’t they cute!?!

I’ve been a little side tracked with kidding season but this little guy Star is one of the triplets we had to bring home to bottle feed. Sam put him in the puppy pen while I fixed a bottle and Rhubarb (purple girl) couldn’t get enough him! 😂
Also fun fact - did you know goats milk is really good for puppies? It’s easy to digest and way better than the store bought formula. Our momma goat is producing gallons of milk for her triplets but this little guy just couldn’t get latched on so Sam is milking momma enough for all 3 kids and the puppies! Everyone is winning around here!

First of all Thank you for all the shares and likes on Holly’s post last Friday! You guys are the BEST !! My messanger blew up and today the perfect family came to take her home. My heart is full and I knew with patience we would find her just the perfect fit!

So without further delay we can finally share our going home pictures from our Christmas litter! Yay!! If you were interested in Holly don’t worry we still have girls that will be available middle of May so message me asap before our spots fill up!

Congratulations to all our amazing families that got one of Blaze and Emmie’s puppies - I loved that pairing and look foward to seeing how they mature. 🖤❤️💙 🤍💛🩷

We truly believe in this method and spend lots of extra time creating “super puppies” - Did you know i did all 5 steps on all 10 puppies from day 3-16 to give them the best chance at good health and less stress as they grow? I truly believe this is why so many of our puppies go in to be service and therapy dogs as well as amazing companion dogs. I hear over and over about how well they transition into their new homes and more often than not they tend to be top of their class if they go to training! I just find it fascinating so thought i would share some fun facts. 🥰🐶🥰

Did you know Golden Retrievers come in so many shades of Gold? I will post an article in the comments for more information but whats your favorite color? We like to mix the light and the dark to get that really pretty light golden right in the middle but i also like the really white. I get a lot of requests for the dark though so i really like when we get a variet for everyone!
At the end of the day the colors are just fun, ultimatley when choosing a pairing that isnt even what we look for. As breeders we look for size, health genetics, and tempaments to see what will produce the most breed standard Goldens. Meet Beau - I would like to give a special shout out to for allowing us to use Beau, isnt he stunning?!
Here’s what his dad has to say about him… “Beau has a beautiful dark golden coat that is very soft and fluffy. He weighs right around 70 - 75 lbs. I would consider him a medium energy dog. He enjoys the water and playing fetch. Beau is smart and does have an off switch, he can calm down when around children or in the house. “
We are super excited about this litter and cant wait to see how they mature!

Meet JoJo, this sweet momma has been a joy to work with from the moment we brought her home. JoJo is a Koda/Elsa grandaughter so i jumped at the chance to keep her in our program. She was the calmest little snuggle bug as a puppy and grew into real drive to please! She is one of the easiest dogs to train because of her confidence and she is smart smart smart! She has earned her canine good citizen (CGC ) through th AKC along with her novice trick title, urban CGC, and utility CGC! We are proud of her accomplishments and think she is going to produce some very trainable puppies with excellent dispositions. JoJo is 3/4 Englush cream and very light in color.

Happy Nurses week!! Emmie and I spent the last couple days on our lunch break visiting with the nursing students at Washburn to help them de-stress as they came in and out if their final exams. We were there representing Prarieland Visiting Animals who provided teams throughout the entire day all week long. Wishing all the students the best of luck on the finals and their future nursing careers.

Riley was one of Sophie and Koda’s first puppies and we have enjoyed watching his journey over the years as he spreads love and joy to others with his wonderful mom Susan. Shout out to Susan for always sending wonderful updates and doing such a wonderful job with Riley.

Did somebody say National Puppy day? What better day to celebrate Presleys graduation from puppy class!!! She did so good and we had so much fun with my mom and her Yorkie Milo. This was a great class, check out Ever - she is a hairless terrier and went to a dog show during our 6 week training and won a puppy championship! That was fun to share in and learn about.
