Come to Putts and Paws Adoption Event & Fundraiser to meet Prince!
Prince is a sweet and very friendly 9-year-old Pomsky. He gets along well with other small dogs and loves people, bonding quickly but experiencing some separation anxiety. Prince is also good with cats; although he may chase them if they run, he responds well to being told "no" and will often be seen snuggling with them afterward. He enjoys playing fetch and tug-of-war with toys. Prince is housetrained and walks well on a leash. He will need a fenced yard and another fur baby to keep him company. He is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. For meals, he enjoys unsalted French green beans mixed with his kibble. While he has not been tested with children, he should do fine with older kids.

Ember is the dark puppy in this video
Meet Ember, a lively and lovable 12-14 week old pup. Ember plays well with other dogs and has shown a great temperament with kids, though she’s still mastering her puppy manners. She loves being with her people and is a great little traveler in the car! She’s already crate trained and eager to continue learning in her forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a spark for life, Ember is the perfect match!
Come to Putts and Paws Adoption Event & Fundraiser to Meet Padamay!
Would you just look at this sweet girl? She's still looking for her forever home. Very loving, Velcro dog but also has never destroyed a thing when left alone. Crate trained. Would love to have doggie buddies to play with. Let me know if you need a Princess Padamay in your life!! 🧡🐶
Come to Putts and Paws Adoption Event & Fundraiser to MEET CHAMP!😍
Champ is a 1 1/2-year-old Pit Bull and Border Collie Blend weighing approximately 35 lbs, and is available for adoption through PAWS Rescue Inc.
Champ is an absolute sweetheart! She adores being around her people and is a big cuddle bug who would happily snuggle all day. However, she also loves going on walks, chewing on bully sticks, and running around with other dogs. Champ is incredibly gentle and does wonderfully with both kids and other dogs. She is house-trained (with a doggy door) and is almost fully crate-trained. She sleeps peacefully in her crate at night but may get a bit anxious if she can’t see you while you’re still in the house.
Despite her gentle nature, Champ is still very puppy-like, especially in public places like parks or on walks. She’ll need some guidance, exposure, and training as she tends to get easily excited. Champ is highly motivated by food and attention, so with a bit of time and patience, she’s sure to thrive. She’s curious about cats but is learning to coexist as long as the cat isn’t running away from her. During her first few days in a new home, Champ may follow you around everywhere, but she’ll become more independent once she feels comfortable.
⭐️ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT⭐️
*Note: Contains a slightly graphic photo in comments*
When I decided to bring an indoor dog pool to Boise, one of my main goals was to provide a safe swimming environment for dogs—free from dangers like algae, giardia, Leptospirosis, and other waterborne risks.
After our NADD event this past weekend, we wanted to let our dogs swim, but I wanted fresh air and a break from being at work. We opted to go to Optimist Youth Sports Complex and let them play in the water there, even though I knew the risks and my intuition told me otherwise. I just wanted my dogs to have fun.
By Monday morning, two of our three dogs were vomiting, and all three had diarrhea. We switched them to a bland diet, but their condition worsened overnight. The next morning, after returning from the gym, I found one of our dogs had diarrhea that was just blood (with some grass).
I’m incredibly grateful to WestVet Meridian for getting her in so quickly and taking care of her. Thank you also to Habitat Veterinary Hospital Boise. Dr. Blake Tafoya for looking after the other two.
Our pups are now feeling much better, but this experience serves as a critical reminder: always be cautious when your dogs are around stagnant water.
Here are some tips for summer in the water:
🐕 Bring drinking water
🐕 Invest in a life jacket
🐕 Make sure your dog knows HOW to swim
🐕 Make sure the water is moving in some sense to reduce the risk (however, this does not guarantee safety)
🐕 Be mindful of your dogs swimming skills and age
🐕 Take regular breaks
🐕 Have fun!!!

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED
*updates coming*
A chocolate lab (possibly 4-5 years old), was abandoned at a rental property about 3 weeks ago. Apparently the property owner just found her, called the previous tenants and they stated that they want nothing to do with the dog (Misty).
Misty may have been being fed and watered by a neighbor but otherwise pretty neglected. Waiting on a picture now, but if anyone is able to foster her, please let us know.
I will update this post as I have more details
