Cedar Cove’s Rebellious Bird “Carmen” got her first point her very first weekend out! She’s just over 8 months, and is maturing so nicely! We’re so excited to see what else these two accomplish together!

Pending AKC verification, Bram is now
CH Cedar Cove’s Danse Macabre! Bram finished on day one of his third weekend out, with a Group One and multiple Best of Variety under his belt. He completed his Champion at 7 months old never taking less than RWD, and was completely owner handled. We’re so incredibly proud of him! We plan to work towards his Grand and add some suffix titles next !

Cedar Cove’s Danse Macabre “Bram” attended his second show this week and won a
🏆 GROUP ONE 🏆 under judge Gloria Kerr!
Aside from his group win, Bram also took:
OH Group 2 under judge Ken Murray
BOV and OH Group 3 under Dr Gail Forsythe
BOS and BW under Ms. Susie Osborn
WD under Judge Carol Graham, gaining a total of 8 points. At 7 months old, he’s now one major away from his championship.

He and his owners made a beautiful team, and we’re incredibly proud of their accomplishments already. We can’t wait to see what the future brings for Team Bram.

Breeding has filled such a special place in my heart, but unfortunately life circumstances have changed and I am needing to refocus and reprioritize. I will be taking a break from breeding for the foreseeable future. This has been an incredibly difficult decision to make, but I want to be able to put my all into every litter I produce. With life circumstances as they are, I don’t feel I can do so. This page will stay active, so please keep following us as we raise our co-owns from this and previous litters. Thank you for all the love and support over the years. As always, keep calm and poodle on.

Carrying himself proudly, the Poodle has about him an air of distinction and dignity peculiar to himself. They are an active, intelligent, and elegant breed that is well known for their versatility.

Are you interested in a Standard Poodle? The OFA, working with the Poodle Club of America, recommends the following basic health screening tests for all breeding stock of Standard Poodles:
- Hip Dysplasia (OFA or PennHIP)
- ACVO Eye Exam
Health Elective (one of the following):
- Autoimmune Thyroiditis
- Sebaceous Adenitis
- Cardiac Exam (Basic, Advanced, or Standard Congenital Cardiac Exam)

Dogs meeting these basic health screening requirements are issued Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) numbers. For potential puppy buyers, CHIC certification is a good indicator the breeder responsibly factors good health into their selection criteria.

“Ari’s Story”

Service Dog Saturday

Ari's Story

This has been more than 3 years in the making. A collaboration of efforts with a common goal.

Our trainer Sara is also a breeder of standard poodles. It was her dream to pair her sister with a pup out of her breeding and provide her with a service dog to aid in her daily activities.

Ari was born in Aug 2022 and at 7 weeks old was picked as one of 3 pups in the litter selected for service work. At 10 weeks all pups were evaluated and he was chosen as the pup that would go to Sara's sister as her service dog.

Ari has been training and learning all the skills needed to assist his handler as well as completing his public access training. He is a demo dog for group classes and a familiar face at Saragold Kennels Events.

He has achieved a great many certificates over the year: CGC, CGCA, CGCU, Trick Dog Novice, Virtual House Manners, and S.T.A.R Puppy with several more on the way.

However his training is not yet complete. This week he got to meet Addie for the first time and they spent a few days bonding and working together. Ari still has about 6 more months of intensive training before he will go with his new handler permanently. We are sure this transition will be one of lots of happiness and love. It was heartwarming to see them work together for the first time and begin the bond that will last them a lifetime.
