Mickey's kittens just love being cozied up with our old man, Mauer! Mauer is our 17 year old Siamese cat. He is a pretty laid guy and I think he enjoys the company and perhaps the warmth of a pile of kittens napping on him! I just love seeing them in various states of sleep together! We had a new litter born from Nicki last week! Surprisingly she only had two kittens. She had one boy and one girl. Availability is pending at this time as we reach out to our waitlist. However we are expecting more kittens from Sammy later this spring! In the meantime I just wanted to show off the size difference between a newborn and three week old kitten. I brought one of Mickey's kittens over to Nicki's kittens to see the difference! They are all so adorable at the various stages of growth and development!

*Update: all kittens from Mickey's litter are now reserved! We will be having more kittens later this spring from Sammy!

We have made our way through our waitlist, and all that were still interested have moved forward with reserving the kitten of their choice! We now have just two brown male kittens left from this litter! These guys are available to reserve and will be ready for a new home by May 6th! With sadness, I am updating that we lost one of Mickey's kittens today. Right off the bat yesterday, he had a deep labored breathing compared to the others. He wasn't latching on to nurse because he was fighting so hard just to breathe. He made it through the night, and I brought him to the vet right away in the morning. Unfortunately, upon examination, the poor little guy had a very severe cleft palette and likely a diaphragmatic hernia. The odds of pulling through all that would have been small. I am always willing to help give an animal a chance, but in this case, with the odds not looking good, I didn't want him to suffer while trying. We made the decision for humane euthanasia. It was hard to let him go, but I didn't want to see him continue to struggle to breathe. These are the hard parts of breeding. There is so much joy in raising kittens, but sometimes, there is heartache as well. In spite of our best efforts in producing happy, healthy kittens, sometimes it doesn't always go that way. It can be hard not to know why exactly these kinds of situations arise. In this case, my guess is that maybe he had too much competition for growth in a large litter. Or perhaps if he had more time to grow, he would have been ok. I really don't know. I am sad to have lost him, but I'm glad he isn't suffering. Fortunately, all the other kittens are doing great so far. I will update more on them as they continue to grow.

Mickey had her biggest litter of kittens yet today! She delivered 9 kittens! She had 4 Snow Lynx and 5 Brown kittens! We haven't assessed all the genders yet since we don't want to upset Mickey by handling her babies too much too soon. In the next few days, as she is settled in with them more, we'll assess genders, take individual pictures, and then reach out to our waitlist. If we have any kittens available after that, we'll update that here and on our website!

A glimpse at the beauty of a blue-eyed Silver Snow Lynx Bengal! Of course, all Bengals and cats are beautiful in their own way. However, many people choose the Snow Lynx Bengal because they are the only type of Bengal to retain true blue eyes for life! There are also Snow Mink and Snow Sepia Bengals. They typically have a darker coat with more contrast but don't have the blue eyes into adulthood. Snow Minks typically have a blue/green color, and Snow Sepia can be brown, green, or hazel! I just wanted to share this adorable little guy because he was sitting so cute on this blue pillow, which really enhanced his eyes! I didn't use any filters! This was taken in natural light! He is going home tomorrow and I'm going to miss these gorgeous eyes!

Last weekend, we delivered one of our kittens to Chicago. While we were there, we saw an advertisement for the Cats exhibit at the Field Museum. Naturally, I was intrigued and had to check it out! It was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend seeing in person if you can! It was very entertaining and educational! I'll link a video compilation I put together below. It's awesome, and the Field Museum, in general, is beautiful with much to see and experience!

I love my job as a flight nanny! After delivering my own kittens to my customer today, I picked up kittens from a fellow Breeder to fly them to her customer in Spokane Washington! We first flew to Seattle and then took another flight to Spokane. While we waited for our second flight I took them out to stretch and play in a private bathroom. It sure is awesome getting paid to fly with cats! I love cats and I love to travel so this is like a dream job! I appreciate others' trust in me to transport their cats! Let me know if you or anyone you know needs pet transportation! I'm always happy to help!

Today, I got to do one of my favorite things again - play the part of a cat doula! Today, Mickey went into labor, and she always loves to have me with her when she is in labor and delivery. It is such an honor that she chooses and wants me to be with her! She loves to be pet and cared for and reassured that all is going well! I made a little compilation from all the time we spent together today. She went through it all like a champ and delivered 9 kittens! Her biggest litter yet! She is such a fantastic mom, and I love being part of this magical experience!
