Current MDR1 drug list from WSU - NOTICE Galliprant is now added to the list of problem drugs. Keep this in mind . Frankly , anytime a new drug or pesticide is recommended by your vet, the onus is on YOU as the pet owner, to learn more about the safety levels of the product BEFORE agreeing to give it - no matter what your vet tells you - check things out first. I did not know about Galliprant , nor the Cerenia when it was also added - nor did my vets. I do provide a list to my new dog owners so I do keep up with this list & check it from time to time . If you have a breeder - any breed - whom you have bought a pup from , and you are thinking of another dog & want an adult , talk to your breeder about their retired dogs. ALL breeders have them from time to time & they do make wonderful pets/family dogs. Something to consider. Ask them.

Current info from Dr. Dodds re: new WSAVA vaccine recommendations. My protocols will NOT be changing one bit. I have NEVER done Lymes , and stopped doing Lepto some 30 yrs ago now. I do not begin first puppy shot till 9-10 wks of age & my pups DO NOT leave here till 10-12 wks old. And I still strongly recommend titers for parvo/distemper , and in my state owners can apply for a rabies waiver for any dog with illness . NO DOG should be given ANY vaccine while they are ill.
