(𝑩𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒂 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅)

- When my instructor repeats to me: ′′Straighten your shoulders and open your chest!” He’s not just teaching me how to stand up. He's teaching me that in life we should always walk straight and face problems head on.

- When my instructor asks me to lower my legs and keep them close to the horse, he teaches me that in life we do not allow distractions and that little is enough to deviate from his path.

- When my instructor tells me "Too much hand, don't hang on to the reins! "He teaches me to give and not to take, with the greatest respect of others.

- When he yells and repeats endlessly: "Look forward in the direction you want to go!” He teaches me the importance of setting goals and never losing sight of them to achieve them.

- When I ask to move up or do more and my instructor says I'm not ready, he teaches me that in life you must always respect your rhythm and never skip the steps.

- When I fall and get back up, I learn that there are always setbacks, times when we back up, but the important thing is to get up more determined than before.

- If I hold my breath during a ride and he jokingly tells me "breathe! You are purple!” I understand that you have to let your emotions flow in order to get rid of them.

- When at the end of the course I am happy with the work done and my instructor says to me′ ′Well done, thank your teacher′′ I know he is not referring to himself but to my horse.

- Now you, you who are watching a rider pass in the saddle, keep saying that riding is not a sport because it is the horse that does everything. I agree. Horse riding is not a sport. It is a life lesson.

SOLD

⭐️’22 COWBRED APPENDIX FILLY ⭐️

SHEZA FLY DANCING CAT “Fly” is a sorrel 2022 AQHA filly sired by CD DANCING CAT and out of LILY LU SUGAR.

14 hands at the whither 14.2 at the hip.

Fly is halter broke, lunges like a dream, stands for the shoer (when held), great for the vet, will stand tied and in crossties, bathes, and loads. She has had her feet trimmed every 6 weeks, been dewormed, and vaccinated (UTD on everything).

Selling at no fault of her own- as her human doesn’t have the time for her. She’s been a pet to them, but has so much more to offer. Fly is extremely intelligent. She can live outside, in a big or small group pasture or in a stall.

Fly is straight & correct, with more brains than you could ask for. A phenomenal prospect for anything you would like to do with her, whether that be cut, rope, or send her to the barrel pen.

Her sire CD DANCING CAT (NCHA LTE: $3,004) has produced numerous NCHA money earners, roping horses, and barrel horses. Sired by CATS HILLBILLY (NCHA LTE: $28,478), CD DANCING CAT stamps his foals with a trainable mind, impeccable confirmation, athleticism and a desire to work/please; this filly is no exception.

Lower 4 figures but negotiable

PPE welcome at buyers expense.

Horse Show advice of the day:
Practice the way you intend to show.

To many times I see riders schooling and training prior the show and they never "practice" how they show. In the show pen you can't fix and redo. Create a "pretrip" check list to make sure all systems are functioning. Your practice rides should be the time you test out your horse to make sure they are listening and tuned in to you. It's hard to assess what your truly have prior to your competition if your schooling always consists of draped reins, unorganized chaos with 2 handing and face bumping. For instance, if you always ride with loose reins at home but show with contact your are going to create a lack of confidence in your horse. Always riding with 2 hands for a lope departure and never testing that position 1 handed means you most likely will not have your horse in the correct position when you need it most.

Create a "pretrip" plan that warms you and your horse up not only physically but mentally. Then put your plan to the test. Did you find a glitch in your show ride? Make adjustments then try again.

The big day is not the place to try out this new theory. Practice your "pretrip" at home then pretend you are at the horse show. Take notes! Actually write down how your pretrip went and what the results were. If you find a pattern with specific issues to your horses performance you know to adjust your pretrip, find a pattern of success then you have found what works for your and your horse to be physically and MENTALLY prepared.

The warmup pen can be the place that makes or breaks a ride for a lot of riders. Not because of their physical ride but because of their mental ride. Have a plan and ride your plan. It is the best way to not only prevent mistakes but to also overcome them when they happen.

Have a purpose in every ride even if its just to enjoy time with your horse.

Task relevant routine = successfully managing performance anxiety
