2 x 2 Rescue is dedicated to bettering the lives of overlooked, neglected, or special needs shelter animals. It is our belief that some animals need more attention with medical, social, or behavioral issues than most shelters are willing or able to give. We are dedicated to educating the public about the animals in need, and how they can help. Prevention and education are the key factors in animal

care. Each animal deserves the perfect forever home and it is our commitment to them that we find it.

2 x 2 Rescue was founded by two like minded woman animal lovers. After years in the shelter environment, it became clear that some of the animals that were most in need were being overlook for various reasons. It was then that Victoria Beasley and Tara Stanley decided they would determine who most needed help with medical, behavioral, and social issues. It will be at a time when the animal is well mentally and physically that it will be placed in a forever home. We are completely based out of foster homes, and we do not have a physical shelter that you can come and visit.

**If you are interested in an animal, the first step is to fill out an adoption application at: http://bit.ly/WxYi8a. Once your app is submitted someone from our rescue will contact you. Our adoption fees are as follows:

Adult Dog (1 year and older) - $400.00
Puppy ( Less than 1 year old) - $400.00
Adult Cat - $150.00
Kitten - $150.00
Exotics and others - Please Inquire

PLEASE NOTE - We are a volunteer based rescue, all of the members, fosters and officers of this rescue have jobs and families. Meet Morpheus. He is a young adult neutered male terrier type mix. Morph weighs 49 pounds for a size reference. His one true love in this world is running. Morpheus knows a few tricks for treats, and he is a great listener. He is fostered with other dogs and cats and kids, and he loves everyone!

Morpheus came to us with some inflammation in his lungs and upper airways. He was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis. Treatment has been done, and he is on an inexpensive supplement long-term to help him. This condition did not cause any exercise intolerance or signs of discomfort for Morph. His only noticeable symptom was unusually loud breathing after his running.

Morpheus loves other dogs, especially small ones. His ideal home would have room to run each day and someone to take him on car rides and trips to get snacks. A baby pool would be an added bonus since he LOVES water, too! He is a strong dog on leash and could benefit from some structured training classes. Would you be interested in meeting Morpheus?? #

✨️This is Bright. She shines ✨️
Bright was picked up as a stray by a local animal control facility here in NW Indiana. Her eyes were matted shut, and years of neglect were obvious. So, as you all know, we think she is perfect!
Bright is a senior aged yorkie, BUT she is spunky and sassy. This girl gets so excited she spins and barks and runs with the big dogs. What she does not do is eat with the big dogs. Bright is possessive over her food, so she eats in her crate away from danger. She loves other dogs, cats, kids, car rides, and walks.
Now, let's talk about her health and aging changes. Her bloodwork looks great, and her tick panel came back all clear. She came to us with giardia, which has been treated. Bright had a rotten mouth from years of neglect, so we had a dental procedure done for her when she was spayed a few weeks ago. She has only 5 remaining teeth. Speaking of her spay surgery, if her owners had that done many years ago, she would have been far less likely to develop breast masses. Her breast masses are stable at this point, and spaying her will help the progression slow down. We took our veterinarians advice, and we did not put Brights tiny body through the long, painful surgery that would be needed to remove all her mammary glands, a double chain mastectomy. She has a low-grade heart murmur, and it was advised to spay her and keep her on daily anti-inflammatory supplements. along with a cardiac support supplement.
Bright wakes up every day feeling like a new dog. She goes on adventures and likes to look at Christmas lights with her foster family. She would love to have a forever family that will do the same for her.
