I know, I know. Making a stuffed teddy bear Pup of the Month isn’t fair. Oh wait - that’s not a toy! That’s Luna our whackadoodle February Pup of the Month!! 🎉

Looney Tunes (trust me the nickname is MORE than fitting) is one of the pups that helped create the term “crackadoodles” at the shop. Nothing stops this girl. She is a puppy on a mission - the mission being nonstop play and pawty with all of her furends!

Every day at Desert Pups is truly the best day ever for Luna. Until Miss Madison leaves. Then God bless those Pawtrollers for the Lunar Storm that will wreck their day⛈️

We recently received the extremely sad news that Luna, her Pawrents, and her new baby (human) sister will be moving across the country. Our Lunar Princess will soon be off on a new adventure and we all wish them the best. Luna, I am not crying while writing this how dare you assume Miss Madison is a crybaby. Anyway, thank you so much for letting us love you during this short time of knowing you. You and your Pawrents have become such an integral piece of this Pack and we are going to miss your pure, unwavering joy. You will always be part of The Pack! We love you, sweet girl! Hi, y’all. I’m Miss Madison aka the owner of Desert Pups 🌵🐶

God let me do what I wanted to do with my life, but always brought me back to dogs until I finally made it my career. I couldn’t fight my destiny 😆🐾

Although DP was a project I created in a crowded Starbucks on Wall Street in 2017, my fate as Mad Dog Madison was sealed back in 1996 🌟 As we jumped right into 2025 after one of the most incredible years of my and DP’s life, I thought to let you all get to know me a bit more. From my childhood Cavalier (Mae) on our logo to the paw print tattoos on my back to working on a dog blog with Colton Underwood (Dahghouse pic 8) to living out my bucket list as a VIP at the Westminster Dog Show - dogs👏are👏my👏life. Is it a baked bean? Is it a banjo boy? Oh wait - it’s our January Dog of the Month - Louie! 🤪 🎉

After the good fortune we had kicking off 2024 with a chaos puppy (Hazel), we weren’t about to break tradition for 2025!!! Loubert was the obvious choice to start the year off with a BANG! (and maybe a few chewed-up toys that he wants to be chased around with)💥 This sweet, cuddly boy will melt your heart with his charm... but don’t let those innocent eyes fool you! Lovable Louie transforms into a zoomie-driven, extroverted tornado puppy, leaving mischief and mayhem in his wake 😈

He’s every Pawtroller’s favorite—equal parts sweetheart and rascal, and we wouldn’t have him any other way! 🐾

🐶Pawsonality: HAPPY, snuggly, girl-crazy (really just Stella crazy), everypawdies best furend, custom alarm system, wiggly butt worm

🐶Breed & Age: Vizla, almost 2 years old!

🐶Best Furends: STELLA I LOVE YOU BABY COME BACK (-from Lou), Finn (paws off my woman, dude), Oliver (when he is NOT being pet by my pawrents!!!), Koda (when he’s NOT stealing my toys).

🐶Favorite Pawtroller: Tie between Miss Emily, Miss Serena, and Miss Alicia. Okay sooo…Miss Madison here. I am actually afraid to announce Lou’s fav Pawtroller because it actually might start a full-blown war at the shop so for my own sanity I’m just gonna say me but believe me - it is NOT me 😆

🐶Loves To: Steal an off-limits toy and run around the daycare until we can catch him, yell at the dogs around Stella, yell at Stella for playing with other dogs, pout over Stella for not playing with him, be head over paws for Stella when she’s ready to play with him, smack around the Pawtrollers when he’s not getting enough attention, crawl into our laps for naptime, and just be 110% himself at Desert Pups!

Louie, we are so thankful to you and your Pawrents for everything! Who would have thought that one random Monday in the summer would create such a deep love for you that every single one of us cherish! This place doesn’t feel the same when you’re not at daycare, and that’s saying something with all of the other crackadoodles we have! Keep being pawsome, Loubert. We love you, sweet boy! 🌵🐶
