The pain of depression
Verse 1:
Drowning in my thoughts of despair,
Dreaming of a new life I can't share,
So many fears that I can't bear,
Haunted by a dream I can never repair.
Verse 2:
My darkest days, are they ever done?
A feeling of dread, hiding from the sun,
Left in seclusion with nothing left done,
The torment of torment has just begun.
Verse 3:
Holding on to hope, though it's hard to summon,
Keeping my head up, I'm trying so humbly,
My strength will suffice and I will keep going,
There's a power in me that will help keep me glowing.
Verse 4:
Losing the fight is really a bummer,
Got to keep my head up, I can't get any dumber,
Giving it a chance, not afraid of a rumble,
My spirit sent forth to overcome the struggle.
Verse 5:
The chains of despondency ellusive and insane,
Must rise above it, break free of the chains,
Facing the darkness, running through the rain,
Believe that you can and you'll do it again.
