calm has come in handy lately with anxious boarding dogs. Gr**go here is a sweet old man, but doesn't always care for the crate since he is a single dog at home. He has no problem going in the crate but gets stressed, drools, paws and scratches. Calm has helped this boy settle so much and he seems to actually like it.

General Obedience Classes Tuesdays at 6-7pm starting January 7th. This class is for dogs that have some obedience already and want to improve/work around distractions. And of course we can learn new things as well.

Sport Dog Workshop!
Dec 13th at 7pm
Dec 14th at Noon
Come practice the obedience routine and learn about the other events. We can practice some weight pull if you have a harness that fits your dog, I also have a spring pole that we can simulate hang time with.
Since we can't practice everything and this will be an information download, I am dropping the price to $25 for this workshop. As we get more interest I will work towards being able to practice more aspects of Sport Dog.

Pack Walk this Sunday 9am at Freestone Park, meet by the batting cages. Please let me know if you plan to attend because we will wait till everyone is there to start. Come join for a regular pack walk or if needed get a group walk in for Fit Dog Titles I can bring the paper work. I will be working a client dog for this walk as well. We are officially an AKC FIT DOG CLUB! Let's start earning those fit dog titles! One of the easiest ways to earn these are club walks that are at least 1 mile long.

My schedule has started to get crazy with dog sport season coming into full swing. I have less availability to do private lessons in home. Any one who already has bought packages is good, you have top priority. I do have availability for clients to come to me for private lessons, which also include a cheaper price since I do not have to travel. This shortage of time is also due to trying to hold group classes for clients who do not need one on ones anymore. Thank you for understanding.
Always read out even to see if there is some extra availability or I can recommend other trainers if needed!

Upcoming dates that I will be out of town and others that I will not be doing day camp because of the Holidays.
November 15-18th we will be in Norco for the ABA & AMA Nationals & Sport Dog Competition.
November 26th-28th there is no day camp because of thanksgiving, but I am still boarding.
December 24th-January 2nd there is no day camp due to the holidays, but I am still boarding.

Starting Wed September 18th @ 6pm
Exact locations will be given to those who sign up for class and I am going to try and base them in-between where everyone is located. But think Mesa/Tempe/Chandler for the most part.
Limited to 5 dogs a class
4 week class is $150
Drop in's are $40
People who want all 4 classes will be given first dibs then if there are available spots when the classes get closer I will open them to drop in's.

I love what I do, I love helping people understand their dogs better and building a great relationship through engagement and obedience. But you know the number 1 reason that keeps me doing what I do? The freedom to work with my dogs and pursue my goals in the dog world. Working for myself makes it easier to be able to attend events and further my education. What I learn with my personal dogs helps me with client dogs. Now I do have trouble balancing it at times and can't always attend events because I already have boardings booked. But that's part of it and I am learning where I can be "selfish" and still be successful.
Next year will most likely be the start of me attending a lot more dog events and that's something I really want to do. So, in return boarding might be a little limited during show and sport season, but it might not, we have to see how some other things pan out. I plan to do a lot of local events so that won't affect boarding, it's when I travel that boarding will be less available.
I beyond have the best clients after years of hard work, some of you have been with me for a very long time. And all of you are why my business is so successful, you all share your experiences with me and by word of mouth have made my business thrive. Some of you have even become really good friends and I love that. Thank you all so very much! I appreciate every single one of you!

I have had to take such a different approach with training Scooter, he reminds me a lot of my dog Luna. I had to capture everything he offered me and then slowly start to add words. And right now he only does them on place 🤣. He will not follow a lure at all, so the capturing is what I had to resort to and it's working. It's a horribly slow process, but he is starting to have fun training now! . I also usually combine my marker and release word, but with him I decided on separate ones. Some double balance beam works. Onyx and Chroma freaking rock it, Chroma had no issues jumping right onto it. Bodhi just had issues with foot placement and that is to be expected. With Jake I have learned when I first introduce something to him, I need to help him a lot. Once he figures it out, he has it.
