Meet Peaches! She was Adpoted when she was 8 years old- we don't know her story before that. Her human was hit by car and killed. Scared and confused she was adopted again ... now she is 15 and her humans abandoned her when he moved. The roommates that still lived in the home had a dog that did not like cats and almost killed her. So once again she is left scared, confused and no family. She is heathy and super sweet. Even at 15 years old, she still has hope of that there is someone she can give all her love too and be loved herself even if it's only just for a short time. Can you guys share her story? Let's get this girl home for her last amazing part of her life she deserves it.

I neglected to properly thank Community Paws for the Chewy's goodies for the rescue kitties, and our dear friend Bob for driving to Buckeye to pick it up. This was the day after Wayne's stroke, and Bob saved the day.

The kitties and I appreciate the food and litter. The good folks at Community Paws were so compassionate and understanding.

Pssst!! I want to share a secret that so many people do not know!!

If you let your cat outside, there is ALWAYS a chance you will never see it again.
I'll say it once more.
There is ALWAYS a chance that you will NEVER see your cat again if you let it roam outdoors.
Coyotes are everywhere. Yes, even in your suburban and urban areas.
Birds of prey are everywhere. Yes, everywhere.
Stray dogs are everywhere.
Aggressive stray cats are everywhere.
Cars are everywhere.
Bad people are everywhere.

So how can you make sure you never lose your cat?
KEEP IT INDOORS. Or build a safe outdoor cat enclosure if you want them to be able to enjoy the outdoors.

The lost cat posts are becoming too regular. "He always comes home at night." "She's never gone for more than a few hours." "He's never just disappeared from the fenced yard before".

Your kitten turned cat that has lived it's whole life indoors doesn't know how to survive out there.
Your newly adopted cat, that used to be a stray before someone cared enough to promise it something better, has no clue where it is and will not be accepted by other strays or feral cats.
If you never want to lose your cat, then do a better job of keeping it safe.
It really is that simple.

Update: We have sadly decided to pass this time due to lack of donations and no driver (the truck has no ac).

Wistful Whiskers, a 501c3, has an opportunity to purchase a pallet of limited ingredient kitty food - the good stuff - for $200. Traditional fundraisers take some time for funds to be dispersed. If you are able to help, Zelle and PayPal will reach us immediately.

Contents may have shifted during our journey. We got both canned and dry food and kitty litter, a new kitty bed, and kitty treats. I haven't gone through and sorted everything yet, but these are all awesome goodies our rescue kittues will love, all for only $50 and gas. Woohoo!

We are so excited! Wistful Whiskers was invited to Buckeye tomorrow by Community Paws to share their distribution from Chewys! It's like Christmas for the kitties!

We had help from an awesome neighbor moving some pallets from our trailer, and our trusty volunteer of the year Bob. He will drive the truck tomorrow for the hour plus drive each way. Woohoo!

I will post some pics tomorrow of all the goodies we receive. It comes at such a great time. This little rescue has been really struggling due to my medical issues. This donation will boost morale in addition to providing much needed gifts for the babies.

Plan for your pet's future as you would for your children. Do everything you can to honor your loved one's memory by doing everything you can to ensure their beloved companions are safe and happy, whether that is a life with you or another relative or friend. Do a home visit and research their new home and family if you are rehoming with a stranger. Reach out to reputable rescues for help. 💙
