Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) is a life-threatening condition where the body's immune system destroys its own red blood cells. Cushings, also called hyperadrenocorticism, is a hormone imbalance where excessive cortisol flows into the bloodstream leading to a multitude of clinical signs. Dogs may experience excessive drinking, urinating, incontinence, increased appetite, pot bellied appearance, muscle weakness and skin disease. TCVM patterns associated with Cushings include Kidney Yin Deficiency, Qi Yin Deficiency, Kidney Yang Deficiency and Liver Qi Stagnation. Specific Acupuncture points, Chinese Herbal blends and food therapy is available for treatment tailored to each individual patients specific patterns .
