Meet Bella! 🐶🐾

1. Fluffy & Fancy – Shih Tzus were originally bred to resemble little lions, and their name means “Lion Dog” in Mandarin! 🦁

2. Royalty in Their Blood – Shih Tzus were originally bred to be companion dogs for Chinese royalty! 👑 These fluffy little pups were adored by emperors and lived in luxury, often carried around in the sleeves of royal robes. They’ve got a BIG history as royalty’s pampered pets. 👑🐶

3. Great with Kids – Despite their history as royal lapdogs, Shih Tzus are incredibly friendly and loving, making them perfect for families with kids. They love to cuddle and play! ❤️

This lovely boy was found near Ferguson & Barnes Bridge on Wednesday, 1/8/25. Despite efforts to locate his owners, no one has come forward. However, several people have expressed interest in giving him a home.

He was posted on the neighborhood app the same day and has been safe and warm inside with the person who found him. Concerned about his condition, I was happy to offer my grooming services to help him feel more comfortable.

He did very well during the session! While he was a little nervous at times, he proved to be a really sweet boy. His body was heavily matted, but underneath, he was in relatively good condition. He had some matting scars and old flea bites, though no current fleas were found. His paw pads were clear of matting, his nails were short, and his face was overgrown and stained. His teeth could use some dental care, but overall, he’s a great dog!

With regular grooming and proper care, he would thrive as a pet.

Announcement: Price Adjustment Notice

Dear valued clients,

First and foremost, I want to thank you for your continued trust and support. Your loyalty means the world to me, and I take pride in providing the best care and service for your beloved pets.

As a small business that is re-growing, I’ve always strived to keep my prices low and fair while maintaining the high standards you’ve come to expect. However, due to rising costs in products, supplies, equipment maintenance, and utilities, I find it necessary to make a small adjustment to my pricing.

This change will go into effect immediately for new clients. For existing and bi-weekly clients, the adjustment will take effect on March 19th (the first day of Spring)🌻. This timeline ensures that I can continue delivering the quality services your pets deserve.

I deeply appreciate your understanding and ongoing support as we navigate these challenges together.

Little Molly came to me 5 years ago after being turned away from a Petsmart for aggressive behavior. From my first groom with her up until 5 years latter I’ve seen nothing but the sweetest dog. 🐾 I truly believe you are chosen by dogs, and I also believe they trust in the energy around them, it’s important to pick up on what/when your pet is communicating this with you. When your pet is showing uncommon aggressive behavior it’s a really big sign your pet is uncomfortable with whatever the situation may be. I want to note I am not blaming Petsmart or the groomers at Petsmart. In fact I received my grooming license through there schooling, & have met amazing groomers through the work place. That stated, I also know how these major corporate salons work & how they can cause groomers to go a tad “crazy”. Like many students filling a class room, when you fill a salon with dogs, all with different behaviors and back stories, it can cause lots of stimulation. When a major corporation is expecting you and other groomers to all groom 8-10 dogs a day this is not only draining on the groomer themselves but the energy of the salon will reflect onto your dog. Trust your pets, over anyone, & build the trust with your groomer.
