Meet George! We don't know a lot about sweet George, he came to us without any known history, but we think he is about 4-5 years old. He is a male neutered brown tabby and very shy. He was so scared and nervous at the Cat Hospital that he has been moved to Dr. Thibeau's house for some socialization and he is starting to warm up and enjoy people interactions. He takes a few days to trust you, but once he does he will seek out petting and lay in your lap purring and making biscuits. He also loves to lay on the window sill and watch the neighborhood. He likes to chirp and chat with you when you get home from work, making sure to let you know all about the neighborhood gossip. We haven't tested him with other animals yet because he is shy, but he has played under the door with another adult kitty at his foster home and seems excited to make new friends. George will have his vaccines updated and teeth cleaned at the Cat Hospital prior to adoption and then he is ready for his future home with a patient, kind owner to love him!

Good Afternoon. We would like to introduce this sweet boy to you. His name is Monty and he is about 1.5 years old and a former colony cat. He was found hanging on a fence from his back leg. Trap Dat Cat was able to free him and we started treatments immediately. Luckily, he is able to keep his leg and he is almost finished all treatments and is healing beautifully. Throughout this process we have discovered that Monty is a sweet and loving cat and he deserves a home. We are unsure of how he would be with dogs and he seems a little nervous around other cats but unsure if he would eventually warm up to them. He's active, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. If you, or someone you know, is interested in giving him a comfy, air conditioned home, contact us! We'd be happy to set up a time for you to meet him.

Hello Facebook Friends. This downpour reminded us that it is officially Hurricane Season! With that in mind, we thought it a good idea to remind you to get any necessary medications for travel sooner rather than later. Most of our pets would benefit from some sort of sedative for evacuations. So give us a call if you want to get those meds filled. Have a great day and stay safe out there!

Good afternoon, FB family. We’d like to introduce you to a sweet old lady named Bandit Western. She is a beloved pet to dear client of ours who, unfortunately, has had some health issues and has had to move to assisted living. We are trying to find Bandit a loving home to spend her golden years. She is 14, up to date on vaccines, and other than hyperthyroidism, she is healthy. She is on a transdermal medication for her thyroid so medicating her is not a problem. Give us a call if you or someone you know is interested. This sweet, old girl deserves a home.

Here's little Princeton getting some exercise as he recovers from surgery! Dr. Perkins repaired his cleft palate thanks to your donations to our charity fund and placed a feeding tube so he won't disrupt his sutures. He is a homeless kitty from the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter and will need a home once he heals ❤️❤️❤️

Biddy is almost sixteen years old. She's healthy but has arthritis in her elbows. Thanks to anti-inflammatories, an antioxidant-rich diet, regular grooming by her human, and easy access to her litter boxes, food, and comfortable resting places (even a heating pad!), this is one happy cat. We want Biddy to not only live a long life, but a happy one. We take great pride in ensuring your senior cat stays happy and healthy--make sure we're seeing your senior cat twice a year!

Get your kitties the gift of FOOD PUZZLES for the holidays! We have many starter puzzles and helpful tips available at our clinic. Cats were designed to forage, to use their intellect and fine motor skills to kill and eat 10-12 tiny meals a day. Feeding from a bowl takes away that outlet for their natural instincts. Food puzzles are a great way to feed your cat kibble, while wet food can remain freely available. In this video, a simple food puzzle was made more challenging by simply placing it in a small cardboard box. For Susu, the reward was worth it!

Coal is venturing out into the world! When raising a single, orphan kitten, it's helpful to have a stuffed toy to allow them to "wrestle" as if it were a littermate. They can even cuddle with it.

UPDATE: Teddy was adopted on 8/25/18! Thank you for sharing his story and helping us find him a home. PLEASE SHARE (Metairie, LA): Teddy was found as a stray kitten with his lower lip severely damaged. He required surgery and has been recovering great! His lip is healthy and good as new. Teddy's adoption fee is $150. This includes full vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. He is a sweet baby and deserves the best home!
