🧺Cougar Says We Need Towel Donations! 🧺

Our feline patients go through lots of towels, and we’re running low! If you have any gently used bath towels, hand towels, or washcloths you no longer need, we would be so grateful to give them a second life here at the clinic.

Donated towels help keep our cats cozy, clean, and comfortable during their visits and recoveries. 💛🐾

If you’d like to help, you can drop donations off during our regular business hours, M-F 8am-6pm and Sat 8:30-2:00— every towel makes a difference! If you have any questions please give us a call at 504-837-6137.

Thank you so much for supporting our whiskered friends! 😺💙

🌞✨ Meet Sunshine — A One-in-a-Million Calico King! ✨🌞

Say hello to Sunshine, a truly extraordinary boy! Male calico cats are incredibly rare — only about 1 in 3,000 calicos are male — which makes sweet Sunshine a little genetic miracle.

With his bright orange coat, inky black patches, and snowy white accents, he lives up to his name every single day. ☀️💛 Whether he’s soaking up actual sunshine, greeting everyone with his gentle purrs, or strutting around like he knows he’s special (because he is!), this handsome guy has completely stolen his owners and our hearts!

Drop a 🌞 in the comments to show Sunshine some love or give us a call at 504-837-6137 if you have any questions for our wonderful staff.

Let me tell y'all about Bruce. This big hunk of burning love has been living on the streets for years. He is a retired Tomcat, about 3-5 years old, with half a tail, wounds, and scars that tell his story of hardship to anyone willing to listen. Over the last year, one wound in particular had trouble healing. Many trips to the vet and courses of antibiotics would temporarily help, but the wound never closed. We had him triple tested, and no surprise, he is FIV positive. That helps explain why he hasn't been able to heal the wound. So we decided to take him in to have it surgically closed by the wonderful Dr. Thibeau at Cat Hospital of Metairie. It wasn't an easy fix, but Bruce has finally recovered!

Bruce has been the perfect gentleman throughout all of this. I think he knows just how much we are doing to help him, and he is very appreciative. The original plan was for Bruce to go back to his colony. But I really don't want to do that to him. He deserves better. So I promised him I would ask- Does anyone have room in their heart and home for this guy? I just know that there is someone, somewhere, just waiting for him.

Bruce is very low maintenance. All he wants to do is lay around and take it easy. He may entertain playing with a few toys, but he would much rather roll over on his back for belly rubs. He is all about lazy days and taking it easy.

Bruce has lived with colony cats his whole life, so he would most likely do well with other cats given the proper introductions. He also doesn't mind living with dogs! He has not been around kids. He would also do well as an only cat.

Bruce has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He is FIV positive, Feline Leukemia negative, and Heartworm negative.

If you are interested in Bruce, please email [email protected].

🐾 Soulee says she’s ready to help! 💪

She took on the very important role of “practice patient,” helping Dr. Thibeau, Dr. Murphy, and Ashley get everything ready for a real tail surgery. 🐕‍🦺✨
We’d say she deserves some extra treats for being such a great assistant! 🍪💖
