Did you know???
Montana Pittie Project is a foster based rescue with no specific location as we rely on fosters across Montana and Texas to help us save bully breeds from euthanasia. Fosters provide a safe, loving, stress free home for our dogs to decompress so we can better assess how they may act out of the shelter and in a home setting. Our foster homes are crucial in the process of saving dogs lives, teaching them to trust and love again, and finding them their forever home.
Fostering - If you are unable to adopt a dog, but would still like to rescue a dog, please consider fostering. We could not operate without the support of our many volunteers who foster dogs until we can find them the perfect forever home. Some people worry that they will get too attached to a dog during foster care and will 'foster fail.'
In fact, the most common question we are asked in regards to foster care is "How do you let go of a dog?"
Here's the secret:
It's the easiest thing in the world! Many of our dogs are rescued from doggie death row and our foster carers are the only thing that save them from certain euthanasia. Although it is sad to say goodbye to a beloved foster dog, the joy of knowing they get a second chance is a much stronger emotion!
We ALWAYS need fosters, please apply at the link below or on our link tree if interested in fostering!

The gorgeous boy pictured below is Buttons. He is alive because someone chose to foster him in both Texas and Montana. We are happy to report that Buttons has made the long journey north and found his furever family.
Just like Buttons, there are hundreds of dogs waiting for someone so step up for them.
