Doggie body language tells you much about Fido and his moods. Same with Felix the cat and his moods. Take a moment to look at the chart below. We see many pets here that could be termed “aggressive “.
Most aggression stems from fear. We’re kind of a scary place really. Think about it . Usually when a pet goes to the vet they are getting poked for wellness visits or they don’t feel well and are being poked for other reasons. There’s stress and smells , weird sounds and several strangers up in their bubble and occasionally thermometers up in their …. Ahem ..anyway …it would be almost like being abducted by aliens 👽.
Animals get stressed out and will attempt to bite , snap or claw. We’re not upset about it, it’s nothing personal towards us and we don’t take it that way.
Things happen and we have ways of caring for fear aggressive animals that help make the visit smoother. So when you call our office for an appointment just let us know that Vito the cat can be spicy or Lucy the Lhasa hates those shots. We can make the most of these visits much quicker and safer for everyone involved. We’re here to help you the clients and our animal buddies!
