All cats have had a health check (including a fecal test and a FIV/FeLV snap test), and their temperament has been assessed to ensure placement with the right person. They are up to date with vaccinations, flea and tick prevention and have been dewormed. All cats are spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Recently, someone showed up outside our shelter, at night, and literally put a cat in one of our volunteer’s arms, said “his name is Cookie he is 7” and ran off. This poor cat was so confused, jumped down and hid outside the shelter while our volunteers tried to gently trap him and bring him inside to safety. A vet visit confirmed he is a 7 year old untreated diabetic who needs insulin treatment. He is incredibly sweet but very sad and sick, until he starts to feel better from the treatments. The treatments are fairly easy to administer but this can’t be done in a shelter environment, so we are sending out a plea for a medical foster to take care of this downtrodden pet who was so let down by humans. Please spread the word and also help us raise money for his vet care and treatments. Thank you!!
