Saved Lily the Army Dog
Family was invited back by shelter and was able to make adoption this afternoon. She was welcomed by family with a mini celebration and special dinner. She was extremely shy and nervous-people don’t understand when they surrender a pet it causes tons of confusion and anxiety in the dog or cat. Please go into adopting or buying a pet as a lifelong commitment on good days and bad. We will have more details soon with a follow up post. Far from completely set up...a few friends stopped by this am to push me into getting this project started and I’m so grateful they did. Our family and friends know our passion to #bringstewiehome and to help our community #lostnfoundpets33166 ! I woke up one day with the idea of turning the traditional sharing library into a pet library to spread awareness and love in our community. It is far from being completely set up, but it’s been filled by the kids with some special pet treats and ready for neighbors to begin enjoying. The month of August was extremely hard for us! As we were navigating through the feelings of loss and memories we were struck by vandalism of our “Stewie Garden” and a nasty attack on social media through posts, comments, & messages. We chose to take a step back and heal! In the background we continued to help families who found pets or lost their pets. Our friends and family have also been working on ways to help the community and spread awareness. Many wonderful things are coming! As we step into Stewie’s birth month and his adoption month. We know he is out there close by with a neighbor and we ask our fellow neighbors to keep a vigilant eye out and that the family that does have him find it in their hearts to give him up. No questions! No problems! There is a huge reward!

This time is hard for us as the date approaches we are reminded that life can change in an instant, in our case it was 15mins. Please to the family that has Stewie, we just want him home! No questions!!! No problems!!! Make our son’s birthday joyous. His memory of his birthday is plagued with loosing his best friend and fur brother. You can change that. Please!!!
