Yesterday we adopted out to amazing guinea pigs at
I couldn't be happier with the amazing homes they're going to.
We still have around 12 female piggies at aguacate who are looking for forever homes. All of these guinea pigs were rescued from a horrible backyard breeding situation.
As far as we can tell these piggies were being used for food. without Aguacates help, they wouldn't be here with us today.

Building trust with animals who have been rescued from abusive or neglectful situations can be one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences. It's something you need lots of patience and understanding to do but once that animal finally warms up to you, it makes it all worth it.♡

Living in Miami you see a lot of people selling puppies in parking lots and on the side of the road. Sadly i can't adopt them all but i always try stopping to give the puppies lots of hugs and kisses🩷

Look at these little cuties!
I recently started fostering 13 ducklings who’s mom tragically got hit by a car. These babies just recently hatched and are still learning how to be little ducks without their mother by their side.
This is my first time raising ducks and it’s been such an amazing and rewarding experience so far.
I’ll keep you updated on how these cuties are doing!

I recently started my dream job working at an amazing animal sanctuary
It’s been amazing being able to learn to work with many different species of animals.
This Sanctuary is doing an amazing job at saving these wonderful beings and I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to help in the daily care these animals need!

Mia is warming up to us and the other animals very well! She’s met all the other cats and has started playing out in the open!

Rescuing animals can be a dangerous and risky job but it’s a job most rescuers including myself are willing to take, Mia the kitten I rescued a couple of weeks ago ended up giving me an infection called Cat scratch fever, it’s a very rare infection caused up a bite or scratch from a cat who’s carrying the infection or bacteria in their body, after 4 days in the hospital I’m finally starting to feel back to myself again,
Although rescuing animals comes with it’s ricks I wouldn’t trade it for the world and I’ll always take those risks as they come, I learned a lot from this experience and I’ll definitely be more mindful of bites/scratches from new rescued fur babies, luckily Mia is healthy and safe now,

Update on Mia.
Mia is adjusting to her new environment pretty well so far.
She’s still running and hiding but I’ve been able to pick her up and start getting her more comfortable with humans.
we’ve been spending a lot of the day washing and sanitizing everything in her room, and we’ve treated her with a flea medication, along with a de-wormer.

It can feel overwhelming at times to rescue new animals, the showering, changing, cleaning and quarantining the new fur baby away from the other animals can sometimes feel endless and stressful, but at the end of the day, looking at the warm kitten with a full belly next to you makes it all worth it. I wouldn’t trade it for the world

Meat our newest rescue!
Mia
Last night we rescued a 6-7 week old kitten!
Somebody dumped this sweet baby next to our house in the pouring rain, she spent 3 days outside of our house cold and wet from the rain before we were finally able to catch her, we turned our spare room into a kitten room full of toys, treats and lots of hiding spaces, she’s very tiny and underweight right now but after lots of love, food and a vet visit she should be a happy, healthy little kitten,
For now we’re planing on fostering/adopting her depending on how she behaves with our 3 other cats,
She’s a very sweet little girl but she has a long road ahead of her to gain trust and let down her guard.

We aren’t sure of the gender yet but I’ll keep you updated as soon as I find out,

It’s heartbreaking how some people treat helpless little animals,
The fact that someone was able to leave this little baby out in the rain by herself is unbelievable and sickening,
We us humans need to protect those who are more vulnerable then us and help the helpless beings who are being used and abused daily,
Let’s change the way we treat animals and start treating them with the love and respect they deserve,
Be kind to all kinds
