This one year old Chi / JRT mix has been at the shelter for 1 month. Had an injured tail, this was amputated. Adopted and then returned because he is chasing his tail. He probably was so used to doing this, but the adopter was not interested in re-directing. Shelter vets checked the tail, all is fine and when you tell him to stop chasing his tail, he stops. One year old so he will learn. 12.5 lbs and loves people. Available for adoption at Miami Dade Animal Shelter

6 year old female JRT in Coral Springs (N Ft Lauderdale) looking for a new home. Does not like the 2 small children in the home, good with other dogs but probably be best as an only dog with either no kids or older kids. Not spayed and needs updated vaccines.

Cute injured scruffy guy in West Palm Beach shelter

Injured little guy Jimmy - Urgent Rescue Pickup Needed by Wednesday, October 23rd @ 6.00 p.m.
Intake Info: Eight year old Jimmy was found lying in the street in Lake Worth Beach.

The responding ACO noted that he appeared to have an injured left hind leg and he did not have a microchip.

Medical: X-rays showed he has a possible fracture to the left hind femoral neck. He’s vaccinated, neutered and heartworm negative. He did well for processing.

Request to Rescues: Jimmy needs urgent rescue help due to his injury. He’ll need medical care and treatment with a private vet. His needs exceed our capacity for care.

The proverbial Village came together once again to rescue DAKOTA from Miami Dade Animal Shelter in the nick of time.
