Ford, a Jack Russell at Fort Pierce Animal Control has been struggling lately with the stress of the environment. Ford is about 2 years old, neutered male, black and white jack Russell. He is so friendly with humans and is incredible in play groups with our other small dogs. Not sure why he's been passed over for adoption for so long but it's starting to wear on him and a change of scenery and time with someone who truly appreciates the breed would do him wonders.

Pupdate on Mikki from his new mom

Hello to everyone who has been following this thread about Mikki. I just thought you'd like to know that he's been adopted into his forever home in Southwest Florida. We received him a week ago because of a network of wonderful rescuers who made it all possible.
Mikki is an absolutely great dog, and we are so pleased to have him.
He has a fenced yard, but of course lives indoors with his good friend Penny.
Thank you to everyone who sent him well-wishes and prayed for his recovery. 😘

Mikki is now taking applications. This boy is beyond sweet, loves everything and everybody. He would be best in a home with another dog, loves to play and when tired he cuddles up. Not your typical high energy JRT, laid back, housebroken and crate trained. We are working on leash walking and some puppy ABC's. He is a JRT mix, weighs 26 lbs and is 10 months old. Meet Lyric!

Lyric is about 1 yr old. She was found in a field in South Florida. She had scrapes and cuts on her legs, all ribs visible, loaded with hookworms and whipworms.

She had no leash manners as she panicked and bucked while leashed. She has shown no aggression and remains to be very sweet. She has a slight underbite and freely gives kisses.

Lyric is 16 lbs currently. She has tall graceful legs and a sweet disposition. She is fostered in South Florida.
