The Cat's Meow Café Our mission is to foster positive relationships between humans and cats by providing a safe space and homelike environment to our adoptable cats.

The Cat’s Meow Café is officially open, making it the City of Miami’s first Cat Café! Located in the historic MiMo district at 7541 Biscayne Blvd. In addition to providing customers with a relaxing, enriching experience of playing with cats inside the cat lounge, The Cat’s Meow Café also provides a temporary home to shelter cats from Miami-Dade Animal Services, all of which are available for adopt

ion. Inside the cat lounge, our adoptable cats roam freely in an enriching home-like environment. Guests will get to interact with several cats at once, allowing them to connect with unique cat personalities. Through this experience, we hope to create a stronger bond between the adopter and the cat. Our greatest desire is to inspire guests to adopt a new family member. Together with Miami-Dade Animal Services, we aim to reduce the number of abandoned and homeless cats in the community. Visit our adoptable cats and enjoy vegan snacks/refreshments while maintaining social distancing rules. We also have a great selection of cat essential items for first-time cat owners in our retail section.

Not a Cat Post 🐶

We need the community’s help 🙏🏼. On Saturday, we found a sweet young dog abandoned at the dog park. We waited, asked around, and checked for a microchip, but no one knew anything. With shelters full, we brought her home and figured we’d sort out the rest later.

Since we don’t have a yard, she’s set up in a crate for now. She’s been great with our dog and does okay with the cats—though a few of them are understandably stressed.

She looks like she recently had puppies, which makes her story even sadder. Still, we’re determined to help her find a safe foster or forever home, and we’re happy to cover her initial vetting costs.

Our Story

Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I am the Founder of The Cat’s Meow Café. We are so excited to bring this concept to my hometown of Miami, FL!

The Cat's Meow Café is a unique approach to pet adoptions. Our space allows for our guests to interact with several cats at once, allowing them to connect with unique cat personalities. Through this experience, we can create a stronger bond between the adopter and cats.

The Cat's Meow Café will not only have adoptable cats, we’ll have mouth-watering pastries, eccentric coffee beans, cold brew, and juices, all of which may be consumed inside of the cat room. Our pastry partner is Pedestal Creative Desserts, a local Miami chef, who specializes in unique and seasonal flavors. Our cat themed menu will include vegan and gluten-free options and each pastry will be themed to remind you of the feline lifestyle.

In addition, our retail shop will have all your go-to cat needs and of course, goodies for the cat moms and dads. Events and educational workshops will be ongoing and include Yoga with Cats, Bingo/Trivia Nights, along with our Private Party options and TNR certification classes. Ultimately, we aim to provide education towards cat advocacy as we believe that understanding cat behaviors is key to building a strong connection with your feline friend.
