💛🙏🐾Update on Salem, the Rescued Sheepdoodle.

We're thrilled to share an update on Salem, the adorable sheepdoodle who was dumped in the Redlands with a fractured leg a few months ago.

Thanks to your support, Salem is making incredible progress! She's currently in a homeboarding facility, where she's learning to trust humans again and walk on a leash.

Initially, Salem was terrified of her surroundings, but she's slowly gaining confidence. While she still needs to take it easy due to her leg injury (she has a plate and screws), her recovery is nothing short of amazing.

Salem's rehabilitation has been costly, and our vet bills are higher than ever. We're grateful for any help we can get to cover these expenses. Your donation, big or small, will make a significant difference in our ability to continue providing care for Salem and other animals in need.

Salem is not yet available for adoption. She still needs time to heal and overcome her fears. Once we feel she's ready, we'll post her bio and adoption requirements.

🙏🦋Thursday Thoughts

It's been a few weeks since our last update, and we wanted to share what's been going on. Honestly, we've been feeling a bit heartbroken. Despite our best efforts, donations have been slow, and we still owe a significant amount on our vet bills.

As a result, we've had to temporarily close intake. Our team is working hard to come up with creative ways to raise funds, but in the meantime, we wanted to give you a glimpse into the lives of our last intakes.

Meet Nana, Magnolia and Mason (our adorable mother-son duo!), Valentino the terrier, and Valentine the little Chihuahua. All are thriving in their foster homes and will soon be available for adoption. We'll post pictures and bios for each dog soon, so stay tuned!

We also have 8 dogs in boarding who urgently need fosters or forever homes. If you're interested in fostering or adopting, please fill out an application on our website. Our volunteer team will contact you to match you with the perfect pet.

Colada got hurt playing and needed emergency care, while Cosmo developed a severe skin infection requiring vet attention.

💙💙 Meet Gatsby, the Playful Terrier Puppy!

Are you ready to add a bundle of energy and joy to your family? Look no further than Gatsby, a 15-week-old Sh*thzu terrier mix puppy weighing 15 pounds, expected to grow to 25-30 pounds.

*Personality & Playstyle*

Gatsby loves to play roughhouse with his foster fur-sibling, a husky doodle. He's full of energy and would thrive with a playful sibling who can tolerate his occasional annoying behavior (he's still learning!). Gatsby is an extremely happy puppy who enjoys walks, car rides, playing fetch, and chewing on Nylabones.

*Training & Environment*

Gatsby is well-leash trained, does great in the car, and is comfortable in his playpen when no one's home. He's not fully potty trained yet, but he's learning fast! At night, Gatsby sleeps peacefully in his bed without whining or fussing. He's extremely smart and trainable, adapting well to his foster environment.

*Living with Cats & Resource Guarding*

Gatsby lives with dog-savvy cats and is still learning to respect their boundaries (he loves to chase them!). While he's not aggressive towards cats, he does have some boundary issues. Gatsby also exhibits resource guarding in his playpen during mealtime, but this may be territorial rather than aggressive.

Gatsby is up-to-date on all his vaccines, microchipped, and will be ready for neutering at the end of May.

💙💙 Ross, a 15-week-old bully breed puppy with piercing blue eyes. This sweet boy was rescued from a life-threatening situation, hospitalized with pneumonia, and has since made a full recovery.
