*** Please share to get this sweet dog adopted!! ***
Cole got into a foster home a few weeks ago and is doing great! Here is what his foster family has to say about him!
“We’ve been lucky enough to spend our days with Cole for 3 weeks now. I walked him at the shelter and couldn’t get him off my mind, so the very next day he was snoozing on our couch. Cole has come such a long way physically in this short time. He, like many others, was severely emaciated upon intake at the shelter. That paired with some super itchy skin and tender paw pads (to name a few) I felt that this boy needed some TLC. In foster, he is thriving! He has adapted wonderfully to our routines, put on some healthy weight, and is epitome of ‘just happy to be here’ Here are some more bits about Cole Male, about 1 year old, neutered, UTD on vaccines, low/medium energy & ~45 lbs but still needs to gain some
A stranger?! Never met one! Crate & potty trained, Doesn’t pull on leash & no handling sensitivities, Kept separated from our resident dogs because that is what our dogs need, but Cole has no issues. He does not bark/growl or show any behaviors toward them. Dog meet & greets always recommended, No reactions to other dogs on leash & does not seem to have a prey drive. Thinking he could be fine with cats?? Seemed very sweet around a young child he met at an adoption event. Did not bark and even calmed down a little around the child. Has taken treats gently from another young child previously, Does not jump up, Non-destructive
He has some leaky urine due to his emaciated state & muscle strength. He wears belly bands like a champ which solves the issue & assume this will resolve itself once he gains some more strength!
Cole is just such a love bug. He’s has never met a stranger and is so trusting of everyone which warms & also breaks my heart a little considering he’s been through a lot in his short life. He’s my little shadow around the house and is perfectly content just being in your presence.”
